Book Tour: Stand by Debbie Williamson

One courageous woman shatters the chains of abuse that bound her family for generations and dares to brave the crippling memories of sexual abuse; shatter the illusions of denial; reveal her family s bitter legacy of violence; reach for healing and wholeness, and take her place on a path to forgiveness and peace. Replacing shame with hope, fear with truth, and shadows with light, Debbie Williamson shares her arduous journey to wellness. She did not choose this journey. At nine years old, she was a victim of sexual abuse. The hidden trauma of childhood rape often maps a life filled with destructive patterns and shame. Such was almost the case for Ms. Williamson. As a young woman struggling to repair her family, she finds the courage to take a STAND. Grasping for health because her life truly depends upon it, she uncovers and shatters her family s tragic tradition of violence. With focus and conviction, Debbie Williamson overcomes a lifetime of denial to heal herself and protect the next generation.

Book Tour: Edythe Denkin, PhD, In Her Own Words

I wrote Relationship Magic for the purpose of reaching deeply inside of as many people as possible to show them how they can make their marriage fuller and happier; also to show that divorce can be prevented, especially if people can be reached at the first signs of stress. They too can learn how love can come back in a more meaningful and secure way.

Book Tour: Virtual Sitdown with Edythe Denkin

Critic Angela Wilson chats it up with the author about life, love and her latest book.

Who is Edythe Denkin?

A graduate of Temple University, I began my career as an Elementary School teacher. I went on to receive her Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Bridgeport, and PhD from Walden University. I have over thirty years experience as a therapist and relationship expert, specializing in marriage and child therapy, and also teach, coach and act as a motivational speaker. I am a member of the Institute For Relationship Therapy and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. I was recently honored by the University of Bridgeport with a Most Distinguished Alumni Award.

Edythe Denkin, PhD, is a Certified Marriage Counselor, and author. Her most recent book, “Relationship Magic”, is a set of tools in parable form for those wanting to keep or rekindle the love and communication in their relationships. Dr. Denkin understands that “Happily Ever After” does not just come naturally. It takes communication, honesty, and empathy. This book is based on her work with Imago Relationship Theory. Edythe is also the author of “Why Can’t You Catch Me Being Good?”, a best-selling book from Adams Media that shows how to raise self-confident and well-behaved children.

Dr. Denkin has embraced a spiritual quest and a personal calling to help people find their childhood triggers and help them reclaim their emotional freedom and happiness.

Book Tour: Relationship Magic by Edythe Denkin, PhD

Relationship Magic: The Secret to Happily Ever After helps couples realize that long-term marital bliss does not “just happen” and that “happily ever after” is possible when couples learn to treat each other with respect, honor, and trust.

All couples go through phases in their relationships, but frequently they do not recognize and address them due to poor communication skills. Using a set of tools in parable form, Denkin teaches couples to stop negative thinking based on childhood patterns of experience and communicate their expectations to their partners in a loving, respectful manner. Based on Imago Relationship Theory, Relationship Magic illustrates for couples how to mirror their partner’s words in order to increase empathy.

Relationships bring out unconscious behavior learned in childhood. Prince James and Princess Cinda take you into their lives and show you how you too can develop lasting love. Acquiring an awareness of your reactions can help you and your partner feel loved rather than rewounded by old childhood issues.
