LaConnie Taylor-Jones just can’t get enough of romance novels. For 25 years the Memphis native devoured romance novels with glee. In between teaching health, social responsibility and social justice. It was her husband who finally told Taylor-Jones to merge her passions into novels.

Since he was able to scrawl shaky words on a notepad, Joe Prentis has been a writer. The author of the newly released Abraham’s Bones, could not get enough of the craft. When he read stories that he didn’t like, he would find ways to improve them, sometimes even giving them endings that he found more enjoyable.

I have been asked by a number of people why I strayed from my normal genre (time travel and historical romance) when I wrote Checkmate. Frankly, I was getting burned out on the “same old, same old”. It just wasn’t fun anymore. I also felt that I was limiting myself by being known strictly as a “romance author”. I wanted to write something new. Something different. At least for me.

Synopsis
Caryn Deaver survived a nightmare.

They called to her - so much so that when she tried to write a thriller without a shred of nookie, it just didn’t happen.
