While journalists clamor for every little detail about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Epicenter Press in Kenmore, Wash., is rushing to print more copies of its tome highlighting the mother of five’s fast rise to political fame. Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska’s Political Establishment Upside Down by Kaylene Johnson hit bookstores in April, but with the announcement that the moose hunter would be Republican Sen. John McCain’s running mate, Epicenter scrambled to print more copies for the unexpected demand from Big Box book retailers.
Epicenter produces books about the Pacific Northwest and Alaska in particular. The book on Palin is prominently displayed on the company’s homepage, http://www.epicenterpress.com/. This is a great coup for the small publisher and puts them at the head of the political nonfiction game.
