After hitting it big at the tables in Vegas, a lightbulb went off in the collective brain of J-Lo and Skeletor (aka Marc Anthony) and it came with a note that read, “Let’s renew our vows”. Because something about being in Sin City with thousands of drunk fools just screams romance.

Four years after saying “I do”, the couple renewed their vows in a 3:15 am ceremony a couple weeks ago at Caesars’s Palace in Las Vegas. I find this bizzare, since it’s only four years into the marriage, but I suppose stranger things have happened.

Skeletor left his first wife Dayanara Torres for J-Lo (J-Ho perhaps?). So this is his second marriage. J-Lo seems like the perpetual bride. She evidently loves getting married. She’s not even 40 and has been married three times already. Yea, this was a match made in heaven to begin with. Nonetheless, Skeletor has apparently been able to tame this wild wedding-wanting beast over the course of the past few years. Interestingly enough, her other two marriages were to virtual nobodies (although they sure did look a heck of a lot better than Skeletor) to whom J-Lo had to dish out tons of alimony moola. Skeletor already comes with a load of dough. She probably Tivo’s A Wedding Story and clears a whole box of Kleenex everytime she realizes she won’t get to be the bride again, so rather than kick Marc to the curb and end up with another “nobody”, why not just remarry the same guy! What a concept!

I bet this was Skeletor’s bright idea, though. He probably gets his rocks off in Vegas. (Gross!) He and Dayanara got married in Vegas in 2000. Not surprisingly him and J-Lo renewed their vows there too. Hmm…

It was a spur of the moment thing and they probably thought it would be fun. But, I would think the renewing of vows should be a bit more sacred than to do it “just for fun”, particularly right after you have your first set of kids. Besides, it seems to me that if your vows need to be renewed after only four years, they weren’t that solid to begin with. My parents have been married 42 years this year and have never renewed their vows (although I think they will at either year 45 or 50). My parents are normal. J-Lo and Skeletor are just weird.
