Okay, so I’m at a party chatting up the gang from “Prison Break.” The producers are talking about how with the guys on the road, everyone will be going in different directions. Some of them will also be after the millions of dollars left by Westmoreland (Muse Watson). All of the characters interact with one another at different times, and Michael (Wentworth Miller), is no longer the boss. William Fichtner (“Invasion”) is joining the cast as an FBI agent Alexander Mahone… Yada, yada, yada.
I’m sort of paying attention at the party, but there’s one big question rolling around in my head and it won’t stop. I mean, I’m less than a foot away from two of the most gorgeous men on television and all I can think about is: “Will the brothers, Michael and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell), grow their hair out?”
I suddenly realize that I hadn’t just thought the question. I actually spoke it out loud. There was dead silence, (the kind where crickets chirp in the middle of a slammin’ party) and then Purcell saved me. He said, “Well, at first it’s only a few hours after the escape, but it could happen as the show progresses.” I knew I loved that man for way more than his gorgeous mug.
So what should you expect in the first episode of “PB,” titled “Manhunt,” of the new season? I don’t want to spoil things for you but… It begins with a short look back over last season, and then Fichtner’s character asks about the escapees. The former prisoners are on the run, with the law not far behind. Their favorite doctor, Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) is in a coma, and is fighting for her life. T-Bag, is having a difficult time getting around with one hand. Our favorite lawyer, Veronica (Robin Tunney) is trapped with a supposedly dead man, and very bad things happen. Oh, and FBI Agent Mahone is very, very smart. And that’s it, that’s all I’m telling you for now…
Except that the second episode, “Otis,” is even wilder. Lincoln refuses to follow his little brother’s big plan. Captain Brad Bellick (Wade Williams) is way beyond peeved that his prisoners escaped and he’s out for vengeance, even though he’s been taken off the case. Ready the TIVO folks. You don’t want to miss an episode. Personally, I think a little hair on the brothers’ heads might make them a lot less recognizable. I mean, would it kill Lincoln to wear a hat?
Also debuting Monday after “Prison Break is the new serial drama “Vanished,” starring Joanne Kelly, John Allen Nelson, Gale Harold, Rebecca Gayheart, Esai Morales and several others. It centers on the disappearance of a senator’s wife, Sara Collins (Kelly). Where is Sara Collins? Who is Sara Collins? The more the police dig, the more complicated things get. Everyone has a story here, the family, the FBI and the reporters. I have to admit I didn’t mind the pilot episode, but don’t think I’ll be making a long-term commitment. There are too many interesting things happening on other networks on Mondays. More about that later…

Welcome aboard TV Chick!
I just got season one on DVD. I’ll have to watch it before I get started on season two. I liked what I saw of last season but there were just too many other shows to watch.
welcome TV Chick. I don’t watch either show but you give an interesting angle on this. Looking forward to more.
Thank you both for the welcome. I feel like I’m in great company here! Too much fun.
