Captain Britain hit the shelves last Wednesday and several podcasts had their raving reviews.  Plus, more convention recaps and interviews.

breakdowns after the jump

5/14 Collected Comics Library enrages Psi-Force fans everywhere.  Both of them.

5/14, 5/15 Comic Book Noise‘s Derek Coward want to believe in X-men again and shares the joy of Detroit commuting.  Marvel Noise gives a reading of Uncanny X-men #201.  Then it back to Derek expressing the importance for conventions getting along with local press.

5/14, 5/15 Dollar Bin reaffirms that I will never have kids.  Plus a bunch of FCBD recaps.

5/14 Birds of Geek recaps more of the NYCC.  Unless Amy’s voice dropped and octave and an accent, one of the girls is a dude!

5/14 Comic Addiction review God Save the Queen with clips from their interview with Mike Carey.

5/14 Sidebar talks with Jason Manley and the rise of the concept art genre.

5/14, 5/16 Comic Book Page goes over this month’s Previews with their picks and interviews.  Then they spice things up by reading A though K of the phone book.

5/14 Comic Geek Speak gets kicked off American Idol.

5/15 11 O’Clock Comics touches on the importance on monthlies and the evil dirty genius of Rick Remender.

5/15 About Heroes has more interviews from ECCC with Dan Didio, Richard Starkings of Elephant Men.  Proves that small conventions rock, Suicide Girls are a secret army, and Seattle is slightly cleaner and less smelly than Chicago.

5/16 Comic Book Savant‘s Pop Media Savant first episode isn’t about comics, but talks about stuff that applies to comic book readers nonetheless. Defends Street Kings, hates on 88 Minutes, and let’s white folk know its okay to laugh at Boondocks.

5/16 Webcomics Weekly groks readership numbers in side-splitting fashion for us all to glean.

5/17 Alternate Reality gets a report from listeners Frank Castle and The Wife on ECCC.  Plus, jokes about a gay comic artist.  Klassy!

5/17 CGS enlists the boys from RBP to help explain WTF happened in the DCU.

5/19 Radio Wayne talks with Tina Cordova about keeping kids interested in reading through Comics in the Classroom including creating comics and creative writing.  It’s all going well, but then he scares her off by nerding out about the Onomatopoeia villain in Green Arrow.

5/19 Pipeline Comic Book Podcast has their picks from Previews.

5/20 Dafixer’s Hideout gives a shout out to all the mother’s.  Surprising how many comic book mom characters there are.  Plus a quick run down on the difference between a bad movie versus a bad comic book movie.  It’s all very confusing, but they sound like they would be fun to drink with.

5/20 Comic News Insider chats with artist John McCrea who likes to cuss and curse, but his British accent makes it so charming!
