With over 30 episodes left to listen to, I can only assume they spent as much time talking about intellectual property rights as Gigcast and N3RDCast. But it’s all moot now that Coffman got paid finally. I’m sure the MIB guy became very cordial upon getting his check after posting his numerous cryptic posts too.
Plus, check out some new podcasts (new to me anyway) like Dial H for Homo, Geek Girls and The Watchtower Podcast. Send me your links to other comic book podcasts.
Yes, it’s an iPhone and not an iPod. There is a built in screen shot capture that “jailbroken” iPhones can use which is easier than updating the iPod in Photoshop everytime. Podcast episode breakdowns after the jump.
6/4 The Watchtower Podcast chats with intellectual property owner Terry Moore and his new book, Echo and his upcoming work with Marvel.
6/4 Comic Book Noise‘s Marvel Noise jumps around the Marvel timeline to bring us various comic gems.
6/4 Crank Cast gets upset that they have to share their movie theater with women. Falls out of love with Weezer.
6/4 Kryptographik reviews Lock and Key, and remembers the good old days of Warren Ellis and his earlier work.
6/5 Gigcast notices that lots of folks associated with Platinum Studios haven’t been paid. Maybe a well-worded letter will get those checks out! Interview with David Reddick.
6/6 Dafixer’s Hideout gets into their usual foolishness for 2.5 hours. Funny Byrne 2004 quote about Alba looking like a hooker on FF. Reviews Ultimate Human, The Sword, Secret Invasion FF, Guardians of the Galaxy, Cyborg, and more.
6/6 Dungeons & Dragons has nothing to do with comic books except of an unspoken cross-over market. Their last two episodes feature Scott Kurtz, and Penny Arcade’s Mike and Jerry playing forth edition of ultimate geekdom during their time in Seattle at ECCC. Kurtz signed over his rights to Skull in order to play this game though. Skull was a throw away character. Get it? Throw?
6/6 Webcomics Weekly panel sessions at ECCC. Come on kids, let’s get rich quick!*
*quick may take up to ten years to accomplish
6/7 2 in 1 Showcase keeps getting tricked into reading Wolverine Origins. Covers the Hulkiverse to bring us all up to date.
6/7, 6/8, 6/10 Comic Book Noise‘s Comics Playground reviews Tin Tin, Shazam and other comics from wayback before they start talking about movies. “Number One Comic Book Show” predicts which #1 issues will be good based on Previews solicits. And Indie Comics lost me at all the Sports chatter.
6/8 N3RDCast, seriously, three hours? Gay lisps fifteen minutes in. All this fuss over an extra consonant. Interview with Hero By Night seller DJ Coffman. Isn’t afraid of Platinum using his property without him. Thinks that Men in Black guy didn’t get screwed. I guess if you don’t hear about it, it never happened (btw, his name is Lowell Cunningham).
6/9 Dial H for Homo crew are going to get their asses kicked as soon as the CBQs hear all the Morrison smack talk. Just be lucky you didn’t bag on BKV. And Tom Paris has gone all pear shaped.
6/9 I Read Comics overdoses on Legion of Super Heroes by reading a bunch of the trades together. Who can blame her, Mark Waid and Tony Bedard’s run were awesome! As long as superheroes have “boob socks” they should offer men’s “socks” too.
6/10 I’m sure some of Comic News Insider‘s best friends are gay. And MoCCA is flaming… hot. Interviews with Monica Gallagher and Mike Dawson.
