NEW YORK, NY (October 9, 2007) — Twenty years ago the second season of the TV sitcom “Charles In Charge” debuted with a whole new family and new characters making it one of America’s favorite comedies of the1980’s.  Hot on the heels of the VH1’s highly successful reality program “Scott Baio is 45 and Single,” Arts Alliance America is releasing the highly anticipated TV Guide Presents CHARLES IN CHARGE: SEASON 2. Fans of the show can now own the 3-disc DVD box set featuring all 26 episodes of Charles In Charge: Season 2, featuring the hysterical antics of: Charles, Buddy, Jamie and the rest of the Powell Family.  The box set will be available beginning November 20, 2007 for a suggested retail price of $39.95.  The pre-book date is October 23, 2007.

Charles in Charge: Season 2 features teen heart-throb Scott Baio (“Scott Baio is 45 and single,” “Happy Days,”) as Charles, Willie Aames (“Eight Is Enough”) as Buddy, Nicole Eggert (“BayWatch”) as Jamie Powell, Ellen Travolta (“Happy Days”) as Scott’s mother, Lillian, James T Callahan as Walter Powell, Sandra Kerns as Ellen Powell, and Alexander Polinsky as Adam Powell.

TV Guide Presents CHARLES IN CHARGE: SEASON 2 - Synopsis

Charles, a college student, moves in with the Powell family as the housekeeper, baby-sitter, and friend to the children. Along with his best friend, Buddy, Charles attempts to manage his life-- especially college and girls, as well as tend to the family.

When “Charles in Charge” returned as a first-run syndicated series in early 1987, only Charles and Buddy were left from the original cast. The Pembrokes had moved to Seattle and sold their house to the Powells, who became Charles’ new employers. The man of the house was Mr. Powell’s cranky father Walter, a retired career Navy man. Also in the house were Walter’s daughter-in-law Ellen, and his three grandchildren, Jamie (14), Sarah (13), and Adam (12).

That season Charles’ loving mother, Lillian, came from Scranton for a short visit. She bought his favorite hangout, Sid’s Pizza Parlor, and took up permanent residence in New Brunswick. Not only did he have to deal with her good-natured meddling, but picking up girls at Sid’s, when she was there, was not what it used to be.
