Hello, new to the podcast and looking for the name of a crappy 80’s flick…

Something about aliens on earth…. There was a leading-man sheriff that had that typical 80s perm and mustache. At one point he falls in a deep ditch, or ravine, and bust his femur. Then with the bone protruding from his thigh, he proceeds to climb out of the pit and go save the day!
I also remember it being the first movie I saw where kids were killed outright, when the alien “zapped” a car they were in.
Any clue?

Halloween comes out this weekend and it’s easily the third best Halloween film. But that’s like saying you’re really good looking for an ugly person. It’s no prize since most of the franchise sucks. Outside of the first two, the rest of the series should be aborted.

If you go see the remake and get bored, start looking for cameos as all walk on roles are played by established actors.

See if you can find the following:

Daryl Sabara (Spy Kids)
Udo Keir
Clint Howard
Lew Temple
Bill Moseley
Leslie Easterbrook
Tom Towels (Night of the Living Dead)
Dee Wallace
Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead)
Sybil Danning
Mickey Dolenz (Awesome cameo)
Sid Haig

Has anyone seen Postal? I know it’s coming out on DVD soon (Aug 26th). I’ve checked out the movie’s web site and the material on there is hilarious. Great for passing time and getting a good laugh until the DVD drops. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about it. Pretty much I guess it turned out to be way better than expected so I’m excited to see the movie. Here is the site link if you want to mess around on it (http://www.postal-the-movie.com/index.htm)
If anyone has more info about the movie please comment I would love know what you think about it or learn any cool facts.

One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, Turistas, made Hostile look good!! Almost no plot and no character development, the only part in the movie I thought was well done was the part where the characters are drinking and evidently get drugged and the screen gets all blury and wow; I felt like this was done very well but more so it imitated the feeling (not vision) of dancing intoxicated...I guess the part where they are swimming in the underwater cave was also kind of fun, but, according to my friend, this part was to show that they could trust “tito”, (was that his name?) I disagreed, I felt this scene, like most of the movie, lacked importance...the whole thing with the man who steals tourists organs and sells them is just kind of silly. Overall I really feel like the movie lacked just about everything except sexuality, which it does very distastefully...the female actresses aren’t very talented, but they sure know how to flaunt it...! The “stud” of the movie should have been the main character, he seems out of place and kind of awkward, which is apparantly a theme here, the group of “turistas” could not possibly be vacationing together because they don’t seem to care much about eachother.

Hopefully someone else has a theory that makes this movie seem more interesting!

Not because the movie was bad. Actually, as far as fan service goes, this had more than Iron Man.

No, it was the movie goers who ruined the movie for me. My advice to all the ladies who get together to see chick flicks (even though its really about gay men, but why nit pick), don’t get so smurfin sloshed that you think every thing you say is genius. You’ll only get the person next to you tell you to shut the hell up.
