While I was never a huge fan of Michael Turner, I’m very sad to hear he’s gone. ASPEN Comics has the full details of happened. Turner had been suffering with cancer and died Friday night.

Michael came to the public’s attention while working on Witchblade. He was a great cover artist and created covers for some of DC’s biggest titles and event comics. He also did variant covers for the six issues of Civil War. In 2002, Michael left the big two and started Aspen Comics where he launched Fathom.

He was named as the artist on Ultimate Wolverine. It would have been nice to have seen what he would have done.

Comics with Zombies that aren’t Walking Dead really don’t do anything for me but The Goon really hits the right spot.

The big summer event comics are out. Marvel is offering up Secret Invasion while DC has tossed Batman RIP and Final Crisis into the ring.

I know I’m enjoying Secret Invasion and can’t wait to start Batman and Crisis. With Morrison writing Crisis, I know I’m going to get 3/4 of a great story with a very unsatisfying ending. I think that pretty much sums up most of his work. Great ideas, awesome beginning and middle. Very quick usually weak ending.

Seriously, I’m not going to finish reading this title. I know it ends in a couple of issues. However, I’m out.

The one redeeming character in the entire series gets handed the oldest plot twist. It’s not good writing its shock value and didn’t even need to happen.

355 made her exit already. It was dramatic, heartbreaking, and a great way to exit stage. Why bring her back in the story just to kill her?

I’m really disappointed in how this turned out. Someone else can read the ending, because I’ve already finished.

Is anyone else enjoying this mini? I’ve really enjoyed it. I’m surprised it’s not a JLA story since they are the only team to show up yet. Where are the JSA and other super heroes? That’s my only real complaint. It’s also a little surprising that DC isn’t making a bigger deal about it.

DC is doing a good job of balancing the Wonder Woman comic and the Amazons Attack comic so far.
