So I’m sitting here, smoking from the human head that I converted into a bong after listening to your latest podcast, and man, I could really go for some of Andy’s brownies right now. There was so much love going on at the end of this show, what with the gays and lesbians and vampires and werewolves all living in harmony, that I didn’t know whether I should break down and cry or lather myself and fire up the webcam. It was that good. Sexy good.

I dug what you guys had to say about Nosferatu. I had the same reaction when I saw it a couple of years ago. To quote Homer Simpson, this movie was “more boring than church.” But some of the images are frightening and iconic, and the good thing about watching early horror movies is to be able to spot the influences in subsequent films. I’d be interested to listen to you all review The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. It’s another one of those silent movies that’s hard to sit through because it’s such a different experience than we’re used to, but I enjoyed it a lot more than Nosferatu.

I looked up who was writing the Bioshock screenplay, and it’s John Logan, who wrote the screenplays for Sweeney Todd, The Last Samurai, The Aviator and some other junk. I liked Verbinski up until the sequels to Pirates of the Carribean, so let’s hope he’s returning to form here.

Great episode as usual, y’all.

As a fan of the original (which means I have watched it more times than is probably healthy) I’m not too happy about this. The original was not only an amazing film, but had a proper horror ending and one that means there can be no continuation with those characters!

Or at least that’s how I feel, aparantly hollywood dosen’t! Check out the link below for a confusing synopsis (and spoilers for the original).

I’d really like to hear what other people think?

P.S. Has anyone seen the new Dark Knight trailer?! I just watched it and I’m so excited!!! I know it’s unrelated, but that’s how excited I am!

Review
“Part Stephen King, part Chuck Palahniuk, Infected blends science fiction and horror into a pulpy masterpiece of action, terror, and suspense. Three recommendations: don’t read it at night, or just after you’ve eaten a full meal, or if you’re weak of heart. You’ve been warned!”
