Hey y’all, I’m Tony (A.K.A. TonyHex). I’m a sophomore who hates teenagers, but I do like doing nerdy things with nerdy people. My favorite movie is Pan’s Labyrinth, my favorite book is The Shining, and my favorite band is Oingo Boingo, and my favorite podcast is NotLP (sorry F13 and DZ, there were here first).
Dan here, 35 father of two, new to the forum. Favorite movies for now are The Brain That Wouldn’t Die and The Killer Shrews. Favorite books are Cabal and Masterpieces of Terror and the Supernatural. Joy in life is bringing up the next generation to love the films discussed here. Favorite podcast is of course Cinema Diabolica because it covers the older films I wish I was around to sneak into as a kid.
I grew up on horror. I didn’t need to sneak into movies as a child, my grandparents took me to them. They were that cool. I was even taken to double features. The best was Flash Gordon with Time Bandits. I try to corrupt my nieces and nephews with horror when my sister isn’t looking.
Legos aren’t built by you. It’s the other way around.
My name is Kate and I’m from the UK. I love horror and movies in general. My favourite horror movie is The Decsent or Pan’s Labyrinth and my favourite book is Misery or The Ring. I some times can’t choose between two things. I also love PodCasts.
I’m Hans and I’m from Jackson, MS and a film geek. I love horror films, eurocrime, Asian cinema, spaghetti westerns, and any other type of genre cinema. My all-time favorite movie is Romero’s Dawn of the Dead. My three favorite euro-cult movies are Argento’s Phenomena, Fulci’s Zombi 2, and Lenzi’s Nightmare City.
I’m Jenn.
I usually see the line just after I’ve crossed it.
My sense of humor is a precarious balance between high brow uber sophisticated and poop jokes. Books, music and film are my holy trinity. I write, and sometimes it’s good.
Picking a favorite film or book for me is too painful to even comprehend. These spots are dynamic and fluid. And also four dimensional. Hyperspherical top spots, as it were.
Native Californian, half Mexican, half Eurotrash, crass, sarcastic, snarky, fan of porn and art films equally. Collector of Disney Villains, Nightmare Before Christmas, and various shades of red lipstick. Bon vivant, verbose, funny, tragic, failed social experiment, and terribly sensitive.
Hi! My name’s Robert, or just Robb. Damned near 37, married, and love horror, jazz and hot sauce. And being 37, I would like to invite all you kids to GET OFF MY LAWN!
Both .. but ... Cruella has a better theme song and Maleficent can change into a friggin’ dragon. So in a street fight, I think Maleificent would win. She would probably kind of kick the Evil Queen from Snow White’s ass too, but Evil Queen sure is purty.
Greetings and salutations from the Great, White North(Canada, not Alaska, Siberia, or some other snowy, barren, cold as f*ck far flung outpost). I’m 28, just married and just bought a new house(yay for domesticity). My holy trinity is Football, Film, and fishing. I love all (good) film, whether it’s foreign, art house, grind house, or most anything in between. Being the Film geek that I am I feel the need to do a top 10 list of my favorite movies:
-Kill Bill
-Pulp Fiction
-Old Boy
-Battle Royale
-Infernal Affairs
-The Godfather 1&2;
-The Warriors
-Return of the living dead
-The Last Dragon
-The Holy Mountain
It’s worth noting that this list is somewhat organic with only a few untouchables..
I’m Jen, I have to X chromosomes and junk in tha trunk. I like a lot of things so I’ll stick to what I don’tlike:
*BBQ Sauce (I know, I know)
*Jelly Beans (long story)
*Strenuous physical activities
*Pop celebrities
*Coffee
*Fascism
I really like horror films, sex, and ice cream. Uhhhh, that’s pretty much me in a nutshell. Zombie moves are my favorite! I haven’ seen a good one in a while, and I hope they make some good ones soon. A good zombie movie may need a Hollywood budget (for efficient make up effects, props and prosthetics), but not necessarily a Hollywood cast, Hollywood script, and Hollywood glorification in general. Gorification not Glorification. Good zombie movies are the kind that keep that element of realism.
My name is Chris. I am pushing 30 and into living the good Midwestern life with cars, motorcycles and guns. I watch too many movies and spent my teen years with the standard catalogue of horror films for metal nerds. I always tend to read more than I post, but I will chime in if I have something to add.
Favorite movies for now are The Brain That Wouldn’t Die and The Killer Shrews.
That.....is.....so...FREAKIN’ AWESOME!
Those are some sweet classics....bravo!
I’m Marla, soon to be 30, live in Northern Cali out in the country outside of Chico. I am one of 3 co-hosts of Paperbag Radio also found on Popsyndicate. I love movies and TV of all genres but I am partial to horror; enjoy those with lots of blood and gore, creatures, monsters, etc. That stuff is just fun!! Can’t think of anything else right now as I’m at work neglecting my responsibilities as I get to leave soon!!!!
Thanks F13 and DZ for hosting my favorite horror podcast and representing the BAY AREA!! WHOOT!
