Hello I’m Patrick. A film student. I like to say: amateur film maker, but who smurfin isn’t.
I also really can’t get enough of horror, exploitation, etc. So that’s why I’m in this forum I guess.

I’m not a film maker. Though, I did film “A Day in the Life of a 1/2-Wit” when I was 14.

Hey, you MADE a FILM. I don’t see what difference it makes that you retired early.

By the same reasoning, I am also a film maker. I had my super-8 camera back in the 80’s and made quite a lot of crap. Including a knock-off of Psycho called Psychopath (Now that’s creative titling) starring ... my little sister. Sadly, it was unfinished and no footage survives.

Speaking of super-8 movie-making, does anyone remember Cinemagic magazine? One time I made a cheap beam-splitter following instructions in that.

My friend’s mother was the DP. Since she owned the camera and we had creative differences no other film was made. My friend’s younger brother had the title roll, mostly because we thought it was funny that he was the 1/2-Wit. I wonder if they bothered to save the film. Now I wonder what happened to my screenplay. Sigh.

I sort of remember Cinemagic. If I had known it had how-to articles on tech I would have been even more interested in getting the mag.

My name is T Van and I’m a crystal meth addict.  I like handlebar mustaches, Color Me Badd, and drinking toilet wine.

I love slasher films and silly 80’s spy thrillers starring Dabney Coleman or Gene Hackman.  I particularly enjoy the burly stylings of Maury Chaykin in Def Con 4 [filmed in beautiful Nova Scotia] and Marc Price in Trick or Treat.

I’m 32 years old and reside in the frozen-tundra-wasteland known as Canada.  I live in an igloo and enjoy free health care on a daily basis when I’m not munching on poutine [it sounds dirty but it’s delicious].

I love Cinema Diabolica, Night of the Living Podcast, and ShowShow.  Please send me money.

I’m not one of those girls that does weird stuff in bed because they think they have to. If you’re a gay guy looking for a beard, I don’t do that anymore.

Hi folks,

My name’s Sean. I sit alongside heroes of lore in the hallowed halls of ILLhalla. I’m here because of a shared love of horror, giallo, exploitation and sea shanties, and well, because F13 is El Capitane.

A few of my favorite horror films are Cursed, any Japanese remakes, Rob Zombie’s Halloween and anything Eli Roth…..but seriously, I’m here because I love the aforementioned genres, and F13 and DZilla are doing something cool, and I’d like to gain a much wider appreciation for films that I have missed.

im tommy and i have a big nose.

i was once bitten by F13’s cat and im into 80s slashers and hammer jams. dirty work is the greatest movie ever made and not even orson welles can touch the magical performance by norm macdonald.

i hope to one day get off of my lazy ass and make independent film, and hopefully me moving out on my own will give me a sense of responsibility, or most likely bad credit. i smoke dust.

Hey you smurfin. CD is making for some great listening.

Name is Tim (Ghetto Tim,GT). Live in Seoul, South Korea, and have been a lifetime
cinefreak since I first saw Rosemary’s Baby, and Trilogy Of Terror at 5 or 6.

Some of my favorite moments of the last couple years:

-Having drinks and dinner with Alejandro Jodorowsky in Seoul, and catch a screening
of The Holy Mountain, and El Topo remastered.

-Catching HK Cat III classics The Untold Story, and Ebola Syndrome in Seoul, and meeting director Herman Lau, and HK GOD Anthony Wong.

-seeing this INSANE Thai film called 13 Beloved on the big screen in Seoul. LOOK OUT FOR IT

- Finally getting my hands on the Jodorowsky box, and the Mario Bava boxes.

Just from reading the forums, looks like there’s a solid group of people here, and I look forward to shooting the shit with all of you.

Frm the bottom of the barrel -Ghetto Tim
