Over on Newsarama, DC has announced the following Year One miniseries for 2007:

Green Arrow: Year One by Andy Diggle and Jock
Metamorpho: Year One by Dan Jurgens
Teen Titans: Year One by Amy Wolfram and Karl Kerschl
Black Lightning: Year One by Jen Van Meter and Cully Hamner
Huntress: Year One by Ivory Madison (w) and artist tba

For a moment, I read “Wolfram” on the Titans one as “Wolfman” and was very excited.  The Diggle/Jock combination reteaming on Green Arrow is probably the best but all of the art teams look solid and are deserving the recognition that these series should get them.

I don’t know if I trust Jurgens’ writing on Metamorpho.  Can he pull off the fun adventure that Rex deserves?  Kerschl and Hamner are unique artists that should fit in nicely with their characters.  And TBA is one of my all time favorites (insert your favorite emoticon here.)

I’m going to skip all of these.  None of them sound very good.

I loved Andy Diggle in The Losers.  I bet Green Arrow will be great.

I like the idea of Wolfman on the Titans book, but I can’t put a style to the artist.

Having a Huntress book will be fun, but I don’t know the writer.

Kerschl on the Titans did the recent fill-in on The Flash #3 (I think) and has done some Superman stuff.  He’s got a unique, clean style.

That’s Wolfram on Titans, not Wolfman.  I think she’s done some work on the Titans cartoon show.

You’d be right. Amy Wolfram did work on the Teen Titans animated series. More than a few actually.

And Karl Kerschl on anything is worth paying attention to.
