The IRS just went all Al Capone on Wesley Snipes…so long sucker.

Movie actor Wesley Snipes was indicted Tuesday on eight counts of tax fraud accusing him of bilking $12 million from the government in false refund claims.

Snipes, 44, also failed to file tax returns for six years, according to an indictment unsealed in Tampa, Florida.

Federal prosecutors said Snipes fraudulently claimed the refunds in 1996 and 1997. It also charged him with failure to file returns between 1999 and 2004.

According to the indictment, Snipes had his taxes prepared by accountants with a history of filing false returns to reap payments for their clients.

As part of the deal, the indictment alleges, the firm, American Rights Litigators, would receive 20 percent of refunds from clients.

Snipes faces a maximum of 16 years in prison.

Snipes has appeared in dozens of movies, including “White Men Can’t Jump,” “Jungle Fever” and the “Blade” series of action films.

So, when your CPA tells you, a millionaire celebrity, “Hey, don’t worry about filing that tax return,”  what the hell goes through your mind?

If the barrista at Starbucks is filing a return, don’t you think you’d have to as well?

How some people think they’re going to get away with that is beyond me.  It’s like those people who say that income tax is unconstitutional, you don’t have to pay, etc.

What a dumb ass.

Couldn’t he have just put his money off-shore or used some cute loophole that other rich people use. Sheesh. Loser.

I guess we’ll be seeing Blade 4 PDQ.

I love the fact that he’s gone into hiding.  Guess we’ll see future films only made in Europe and Africa.

Well they found him.  He was in Namibia filming a movie.  Guess he’ll stay there a little longer.

I heard he was over there adopting Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

Blade 4: I Pay My Taxes has been delayed indefinitely.

Funny how that happened just after Spike announced the cancellation of the series.
