I was listening to The Who today and Behind Blue Eyes comes on and I remembered hearing it as a cover in another movie. The cover is very somber and slow. Actually, it’s pretty depressing, but I liked it for that haunting quality, but for the life of me I can’t remember which movie I saw it in so I can get it for my iTunes.  It had to have a been a film I saw in the last 2 years.

Does anyone know or have suggestions on how to find it? Google only got me a bunch of random songs which didn’t match and it pushed the hack band known as Limp Bizkit on me. Ugh.

I guess you don’t know about me being a big Who fan because you could have just called me and asked instead of having it put in public that the movie you’re thinking of is Gothika and the cover artist is indeed Limp Bizkit.

Considering I made the mistake of seeing Gothika in a theater and that hunk of poo came out in 2003 your assumption would be inaccurate since I know it was a film I saw more recently. Also, the version I heard was acoustic and sung, not hacked. Sigh.

Good to know you’re a Who fan. We should review Tommy sometime.

I dont know which is worse out of the two…..Limp Bizkit or someone actually going to a theater to see Gothika…...hmmmmmm….I think Gothika wins by a chin hair on that one.

It had Halle Berry and I had hope Dark Horse would make a decent horror. Since they’ve proven they can’t I will no longer watch their films unless I need an enema.

Not a bad cover. It could be right, but I recall the vocals being more pronounced and a touch slower, but this seems very close if not right on. When did they play this song in the film? An image of a wide field comes to mind when I think of the song.

My bad. Silvertide did a cover, and were in Lady in the Water, but did not perform that song.

I think you’re making it up. :)

The only other thing I can think of is Anthony Stewart Head’s version that he sang in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I thought about that too, but I couldn’t find it playing anywhere. Seriously, I think I saw it on some indy DVD anyway. It’s probably too obscure.

And stop pushing Fred on me F13. Your music taste is questionable at times, but seriously, Limp Bizkit? Ugh. Don’t make me shake my fist at you now too.
