This was definitely a great episode!....love you guys covering the Samurai films for obvious reasons…...thanks for answering my question….my way into para-cinema was thru comics but oddly enough there is another piece involving an older sibling…..not a sibling of mine however but my best friend growing up had this sister and she would take us to the drive-ins for horror nights…..at first I was more interested in screwing around at the drive-in but then we went on a George Romero night….The Dead Trilogy….my life has never been the same ......of course I’ve been reading Fangoria for 25 plus years so that has had a major influence as well…..cant wait to hear the guilty pleasure show, we all have something we don’t want to discuss on record but I believe the show will bring a nice response from the Cinema Diabolica faithful to admit to things they normally wouldn’t….it will bring us closer….oooooo….ummmmm….that last bit was a little creepy I apologize…...which one of you guys will have a musical on their list?

Just so you know, there is a 4th Shogun Assassin movie (a dubbed Lone Wolf and Cub 5). It was just put out on DVD last month. Seems like there could be a 5th SA (LWC6), but I don’t know about that.
And if you dig Takeshi Kitano (and he does indeed kick serious ass in Zatoichi 2003), try the Gonin films, which are modern Yakuza stories. He plays a great bad-guy, which makes MXC (aka Takeshi’s Castle) all the funnier.
there are actually 6 Lone Wolf and Cub movies in all(not to mention the T.V series that NEEDS a DVD release) btw, I’m not sure if it was mentioned(as I haven’t listened to the epi yet), but F13 and DZ being the diligent, knowledgeable chaps that they are probably did, in case they didn’t though, sword of vengeance is an amalgamation of the first 2 Lone Wolf movies pared down in the story department to appeal to Westerners by making the action more of a focal point; which is a shame really as they are both great smurfin movies..
