Anyone seen a sneak preview of this, know much about it? I got this poster at a convention close to a year ago, and I know the movie is coming out pretty soon… In any event, I’ll post the very cool poster and the trailer.. by the way, before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, this is not a rip-off of Ils/Them as it’s been on the shelves for a couple of years

I’m extremely excited for this movie. Finally, a film that seems like it might actually scare me.

yeah I know. For some reason I tend to find masks very, very creepy.. this might be the first really good horror movie from North America in as long as I can remember….

The clip of the Father-esque killer walking into the living room was what won me over.

they use a joanna newsome song in the trailer, so it gets bonus points in my book. And yeah, it does look a bit like Them, but the masks creep me out. I think this could be good (despite the cast).

Plus, I love the last line in the trailer:
“why are you doing this?”
“because you were home.”

yeah I know, that line is a wee bit chilling.. Man, I don’t want to get my hopes too high for such an unknown quantity(especially starring the poor man’s Keanu Reeves, Scott Speedman), but thus far all signs are pointing to yes. It’s funny I remember F13 and DZ saying in an old episode that there haven’t been any instant classic or first class horror movies to come out of North America in many moons, and I personally can’t think of one. I mean, of course there has been some good first efforts, good little entries in the genre, but nothing earth shattering like the stuff coming out of France/Europe, or Asia a few years back. Let’s hope we get back in track and reclaim the f*cking crown

Def think the trailer makes it look like it could be great, but we all know what they could mean. I will see it but I am well past the point of getting excited for just another let down.

Today we think we need to know why someone kills, but the more we think we learn the less prepared we are for new, inventive reasoning behind our actions.

Javier Bardem wins bonus points because he gets the same indifference a mask provides without having to wear one in No Country for Old Men.

AMEN. This is why I HATED the Halloween remake;  the white trash, troubled youth, lazy explanation absolutely killed this movie for me.

The trailer looks pretty decent and the poster is damn cool.

Masks are always creepy.

I really want to like this. I wont get my hopes up but secretly they’re through the roof.

I know man; it’s like we as a collective are a puppy and we just want to have our ears/belly rubbed and our owner(horror) keeps rubbing our nose in shit after faking us out with what we think is going to be an ear rub, yet we keep coming back like the loyal puppy time after time, as we know how good it is during that rare time when we get rubbed(forgive the cracked out analogy, I’m at the end of my 60 hr. slog through the work week and it made sense in my head when I read your statement)
