Episode 21. I liked what Frank Darabont * said about movie posters. Some of my favorite memory of movies come not from the movies but the great posters and the great artwork from the posters.
Most movie posters now are just boring. I not can remember any in so many years that I liked or even really remembered.
What I love is the old painted movie posters. Sadly. Even in Asia. These are disappearing in favor of Hollywood style of photo posters. In Thailand. The old artists who painted posters are all dying. I have a friend in Bangkok who has one of the largest (and maybe the largest) Thai poster collections in the world. To look through his collection brings a tear to my eye because it is looking at a history that is gone forever and maybe will be forgotten some day.
Here are two of my favorite Thai horror posters. One is a photo poster from Nang Nak (yes. I am a hypocrite and like a poster based on a photo and not painted) and the other is a fully painted poster...now who wouldn’t want to see this film just based on the poster?
May I ask other forum folks here what their favorite movie posters are?

P.S. Frank Darabont is not only very talented-but one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met! I’ve met him a few times and he is more like an older fan/collector and not a big famous Hollywood director.
