yeah, that Exorcist one is classic/iconic. THAT is what a movie poster should be… In this age of instant gratification, people feel that they must know everything in the trailer and must know all actors involved in the film by way of the poster. It’s like this ridiculous branding that they do.. it really is a crying shame that not much thought/heart is put into posters anymore..
Thank you Demise. I have hope that Darabont will only allow for artistic posters of his movies. The Mist has the best movie poster I’ve seen in a long time. What’s confusing is BallBuster used the original poster (the one you posted) for their banner displayed on the outside of the store, but the cover of the DVD is, in fact, different.
I remember that film The Town That Dreaded Sundown......I rented it when I was young, it came in one of those big plastic cartons that the old VCR tapes came in....the film was pretty cool.
haha. I was gonna post the Mutilator one myself, it’s a goodie. The F13 was is very good, and I LOVE that Planet Terror one. I remember when they first dropped the poster online, I had it as my p.c wall paper for quite some time..
I really wanted to find an image of The Beyond from the box art of the VIPCO release in the nineties. That was a still from the hospital scenes with a blue frame and just looked so eerie.
But the colours on the poster from the late nineties look pretty good anyway. It fits with the grindhouse feel, slightly amateurish but effective and descriptive of what goes on anyway.
I’m loving this thread. The wallpaper options are piling up!
one more, to complete Clint’s trilogy. By the way, have I ever proclaimed my love for the file size restrictions we have?
“The file you are attempting to upload has invalid content for its MIME type” WTF does that mean? I’ve tried multiple times to upload the pic, but to no avail…
