In My Skin
Trainspotting
Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle
There Will Be Blood
2001: Space Odyssey
Blood Car
From Beyond
The Company of Wolves
We Are the Strange
Idiocracy
Quite a selection, I’d say.
Hooray! We’re impacting your life through film! I’m really interested to see what you think of In My Skin. It almost made the friends that I took to the theater puke.
It certainly sounds… different. However, it’s #56 on my Queue, so it might take a while for me to get around to seeing it… unless I bump it up, of course. To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure I want to.
Hmm…
I think Alyssa said it best when she was talking about Lake of Fire: I don’t think a film like that can show up unannounced. You should start prepping for that one now, even if it is as far down on your list as you say it is.

Will do.
Also, I just watched Critters 2: The Main Course. Words cannot describe how much I loved it… I felt the same way after seeing both Bill and Ted movies. Just for the record, the Crites are quite possibly the most adorable alien monsters ever. I kind of want one.
Can’t get that credits song out of my head, though…

Glad you like ‘em! It’s always nice to hear when people like any of the Critters movies (or Bill and Ted). I’ve been a lover of both franchises since I was a kid.

“I gotta go where the cosmic winds blow me. I gotta go… where no man has gone before.”
I just got The Heartbeat Detector and Can’t Stop The Music in the mail (Dr. Lamb shows up on Monday). I’m really excited for the first one. All I know about it is that it stars Mathieu Amalric (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly) and that it’s a French corporate thriller in the vein of something like The Insider or Michael Clayton. For some reason low-key intrigue, like All The President’s Men, really get to me.
Can’t Stop The Music is for the “Cruel, Cruel, Cruel Summer” we’re doing. It’s a film starring The Village People, Steve Guttenberg and Bruce “Father to Trash” Jenner. Yeah…
Here’s the synopsis: New York City DJ-songwriter Jack Morell (Gutes) need a big break to get his music heard and land a record deal. With the help of his retired supermodel roommate and an uptight tax attorney (Jenner), Jack brings together six singing macho men from the Greenwich Village scene in this pseudo-autobiography of The Village People--a fun-filled adventure of fantasy and disco fever!
I’m dusting this old chestnut off to announce that I’ve got I Am Cuba, Theater of Blood/Madhouse and more Buffy the Vampire Slayer (almost done with season 6) on the way.
I’ve semi-recently added Shadow of the Vampire, X-Men, The Machine Girl, Plankton, and Rock ‘n’ Roll Nightmare to my Queue. I’m especially looking forward to the latter two.

That’s some good stuff, especially, like you said, the latter two. I’m confused though. Have you never seen X-Men?

Nope, I only add movies to my Queue if I haven’t seen ‘em.
