This is great news.  Finally a remake that is due.  I can’t believe how great this news is…..who am I kidding…just more proof that Hollywood is devoid of any creativity.  God I hate remakes.

Really? This kind of outrage for Mouth of Madness? Personally, I think it’s one of Carpenter’s weaker flicks. It’s got moments, but on the whole it’s not great.

Where were you when they announced they were remaking The Thing? (now THAT’S something to freak out about, but I also notice it’s been like 4 years since they announced they were gonna do it, and so far, zilch)

As you said sir, it’s been ages since they announced The Thing with no further news.  With any luck the person responsible has had their head fall off and develop spider-legs.  Personally I love In The Mouth (even if it’s not in the league of The Thing), I’m just frustrated with the whole idea of incessant remakes.  I’d rather watch FOC1 again than another crappy remake, at least that is an original story.

Yes, I realise that Carpenter’s The Thing is a remake anyway and that the whole argument against remakes has been going on for years and yet they keep making ‘em.  I’m just old and get upset easily.

Hey, let’s not talk crazy!

And honestly, the very fact that there have been good remakes(The Thing, one of them) has kind of calmed my knee-jerk response.

So I’m more curious about the Mouth remake than upset.

Damn you and your reasonable response!  This is the interwebs, we are only supposed to express badly thought out knee-jerk reactions.  n00b. (or what ever it is the young people say these days).
