It seems like my favorite artists are hard to find. Ryan Sook is amazing and when he does get projects, they turn out great.
Kristian Donaldson is a very very talented artist that is sure to be a rising star. If you haven’t read SuperMarket by Brian Wood, or his one-shot in DMZ volume two, definitely do yourself a favor and pick it up. I have to admit bias on that one though, he’s a bit dreamy.
Frank Quitely rocks my world. Pia Guerra, Amanda Conner, Alex Meleev, Frank Cho, John Cassady, Mike Norton.
I’ve recently discovered Brian Williamson. He’s a amazingly adaptable artist who’s done some Doctor Who work.
I have been loving Tony Daniels on Titans (though he is leaving- Boo Hoo!), Dale Eaglesham on Justice Society, and Ed Benes on Justice League. Also a fan of Jim Cheung, Phil Jimenez, Jim Lee, and Mike Oeming (who I think is HOT!)
Meleev’s really good. My favorite right now would have to be Adrian Alphona. Although I don’t know what he’s going to be doing now that he’s not drawing for Runaways anymore.

I really like Alphona’s work too! High fives all around. At a small convention this past summer, I asked him if he’s doing anything other than “Runaways” in the future, and he said that he can’t talk about anything yet. Poo.
I also like Tony Harris, Joel Priddy, Kazu Kibuishi, and Pia Guerra.
My favorite all-time artist is Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez. My current favorites are Rags Morales and J. H. Williams III.
Garcia-Lopez is fantastic. I’ve just recently rediscovered his stuff and love his style. And I’d love to see Morales on a regular title or a good mini again. He’s fantastic but hasn’t really done anything since Identity Crisis.
Right now, Darwyn Cooke is knocking my socks off with The Spirit.
