Tonight is the final, where they choose Taylo…..I mean, whichever one the public wants as the American Idol.

But Honestly, judging by last night, Taylor Hicks walked away with it. No fault Of Katharine McPhee, she is a good singer, but was hampered by a bad song for the last song.

Anyone else have any feelings on it?

It was Taylor. A great show, lots of fun and a few surprises. I may post more about it.

Taylor was my long shot to win.  He was more of a character.  I’m kind of shocked he won it all.  I like Taylor and he was my second choice behind Chris who got robbed.  Stupid Katherine can’t remember the words to the song and Chris got voted off.  Stupid American Public.

Taylor won BECAUSE he was a character, and it was time for a guy to win. Next year my prediciton is as follows… an obese african american woman will take it all. just my predicition. Call me Nostradamus.

If you watched the show last night, Mandisa was amazing!

Okay…I can understand getting caught up in any kind of competition (my wife got me hooked on The Next Food Network Star for God’s sake), but why don’t I ever hear anyone talk about how these people are just not very good singers?  Not only have I seen much better singers on similar shows (such as the AI rip-off Rock Star: INXS), but I’ve honestly, LITERALLY, seen five or six people better than these finalists doing Karaoke at Acapulco’s in Hollywood.

GAWD, NO KIDDING! Taylor is a character, but it’s American Idol for crikeysake - they’re SUPPOSE to be able to sing (right?). Taylor’s antics shouldn’t have been the reason for his win. I think Paris, who was a trained voice, should have won, but…oh wait, I don’t watch AI. DUH.

Chris was OK - he sounds like the lead singer of Creed. Not great, in my opinion.
