How great is JSA right now? I feel like i’m 12 years old again when i read this comic.
of course, i totally grew up reading JLA/JSA crossovers and the Legion so i’m in nerdtopia.
Oh Me Too!!!! Fangasms galore!! Being a DC guy, I am loving the idea of the multiverse being back in some fashion and the JLA/JSA/LSH crossover! YEAH!
Oh yeah! I had to have a towel handy and eventually went back to get another copy cuz the pages got too sticky. ;o) I don’t know where it was I read it, but the theory that I’ve seen is that there are now 52 universes in the DCU. Obviously we’ve got “New Earth” and the “Wildstorm U” (as indicated by “The Bleed” appearing in Ion and the new “Slideways” teleporter doors in JLA). I wonder what the other Earths are?
Although, amongst all this fun I’m having, I have to admit that I’m a bit miffed about the whole Superman not only remembering this Legion, but having statues of them in the fortress. Maybe it’s cuz I was the only guy who really really really liked the Post-CoIE Byrne reboot…not sure. I mean, I like the idea of Supes having adventures before becoming Superman and it’s just icing on the cake that he was “trained” by the Legion he eventually inspired.
And, after reading this week’s Wonder Woman and Amazons Attack…I’m kinda happy. The idea of WW still being new to man’s world after having most of her JLA history re-established still bugs me, but I was so happy to see the Dodsons back! I won’t lie, their art really really helps this book. As for AA, well, I don’t really buy the reasons they’re attacking….but I’m happy for the return of a certain character. Even tho her death was impactful and completely new for DC, I’ve missed her. Of course I’m hoping this is actually her and she’ll be sticking around after…other than that, I actually enjoyed AA #1 and liked the Pete Woods art. I guess my only complaint is that i dislike how the standard amazon armor is essentially the same as Diana’s battle armor.
