If so…which ones? Do you think online comics are the way of the future or are you a traditionalist and prefer the paper in your hand?

Here are mine, PVP, Starslip Crisis, Penny-Arcade.

Web comics have a hard time pulling me in daily.

Webcomics…eh, not so much.

I usually read Penny-Arcade, Copper (which is still on hiatus), and Drastic (you may have heard of this from their little skirmish with PvP). There are just so many of them, but I think that it would be hard for a webcomic to transition on to paper. Unless it’s horrendously popular, webcomics will stay webcomics.

I read Zot! a few years ago when Scott McCloud brought it back, but that’s about it.  Online comics don’t do it for me.

I can’t get my hands on comics unless it’s ordering for them which proves pricey so I’m always really happy when websites put up comics to read digitally. It gives me an idea of whether I’d like the trade or not and it means I won’t be spending a stupid amount of money on something I won’t enjoy.

Top Cow do dome decent digital issues and Marvel has some great stuff to read in their archives, I was also very very happy when Vertigo put most of their first issues up to read on their website.

Web comics don’t do it for me either, but when it was puiblishing a few years back, I tore into Queer Nation (formerly at Queernation.com, but it’s closed).*

The story was interesting. A Y the Last Man meets Newuniversal.

The queers of this earth have super powers. Nice little metaphor for being special. It was fun and quirky. I haven’t seen anything like it since.

*I will say, however, that I will check out Tim Fish’s or Patrick Fillion (meow!)‘s stuff, but collect Fish’s Calvacade of Boys in print.
