So I just watched the new Fantastic Four trailer that came on during Dancing with the Stars.  I love the fact that they basically took the Super Skrull story, messed it up and put it in the movie.  Now that they’ve presented the idea in part 2, I doubt we’ll ever see that movie.

See, it works out for me, because I enjoy Fantastic Four just from a conceptual standpoint. I’m not enough of a fan of the complete mythos to really be mad about making Johnny essentially a Super Skrull. And it appears to make for some funny moments in the film.

Don’t get me wrong, I can’t wait to see it.  It looks 150% better than the first one.  I wonder what will be the next story.

This film is further evidence that Hollywood will make a sequel to just about anything, no matter how undeserving.

I think Weekend At Bernie’s 2 is all the evidence you’ll ever need.

I just ate two bran muffins.  The Elektra sequel is on its way.

So it’s going to be an art film?

Elektra was a spin-off film no one asked for in the first place. Therefore, I count it as an undeserving follow-up “sequel-esque” film. C’mon, we’re still no closer to a Wolverine spin-off movie, and that should have been fast-tracked after X2 hit it big!
