You guys are idiots…Michael Bay didn’t do Independence Day.  Roland Emmerich is the director of Independence Day.

What was that trailer for in front of Transformers.  I went to IMDB and couldn’t find anything about it.  I looked up J.J. Abrams IMDB page since he’s producing it.

The films of Michael Bay:

Transformers 2 (2009) (announced) (in talks)
2012: The War for Souls (2010) (pre-production)
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (2009) (pre-production)
Transformers (2007)
The Island (2005)
Bad Boys II (2003)
Pearl Harbor (2001)
Armageddon (1998/I)
The Rock (1996)
Bad Boys (1995)

American cheese sucks. I don’t know about other French cheese but this was Boursin cheese and it’s terrible.

And I thought Bay produced Independence Day. Turns out I was thinking of William Fay. Suck it bitch.

Boursin cheese is good cheese.  It’s an odd choice for a cheese plate.

Why would you think of William Fay?  What a tool.

The auditioned the guy that did Megatron’s voice but he was too old and his voice has changed too much.

They should have gotten David Kaye to do Megatron then (he was Megatron in Beast Wars). At least that would provide some more continuity/familiarity.

I don’t think it would matter.  The voice is so heavily digitized, it doesn’t make a different.

A lot of the complaints I hear about Transformers are comparable to the ones made about ID4, that might be where Marcus got a little sideswiped. ID4 was done by the same guys who did Stargate and Godzilla. Maybe I’m in the minority (I haven’t seen TF yet myself but I’m a fan from way back, so much so my future sister in law is threatening my brother with tattling on him if he sneaks off to see it first), but I’ve been sitting through enough of the childish dickery of the more recent Japanese crap to look at a Michael Bay version as at least moderately adult. That’s all I’m asking for. Ninety minutes without anyone screaming “TRANSFORM” or some mockery of a regional accent, and at least a moment where I can remember the Optimus of my childhood.

Before I turned him into a H.I.S.S. of course.

Well, no one screams “Transform!”, they just do it.

There’s some mild sexual humor.

And about half of Optimus’ dialogue is made up from classic lines from the original cartoon.

Aside from it being a little over 2 1/2 hours long, I think you’d like it if you saw it.
