Boy was Stefan right on the review on this one.  Not only was Murphy back to his “let’s play mulitple characters” schtick, but he moved on to something completely original:  having a well-known black comedian play a fat female character. 

Eddie Murphy, welcome to the year 2000, population you.

It was horrible.  It took two times to finish it.  I had to turn it off the first time after about 20 minutes.  I can’t believe Murphy watched that and thought, “Damn, now that’s a funny movie.” Instead I’m sure he thought, “Suckers!” and laughed all the way to the bank.  Then again it made over $100 million at the box office so someone liked it.

My review would have been one word: boo.

I am not a bit surpised. It looked like a stinker from the get-go
