I travel alot via car and like books on tape or CD, but there seems to be such a limited supply of the really good ones
Is there a concerted effort to not put the better books out on audio? Is there a better selection on MPS, which I don’t
look for near as much?
I think it really depends on where you buy them. Hastings and Books a Million seem to have a good assortment, but they tend to be pretty pricey. You’ll laugh when I say this, but Cracker Barrel tends to have some good titles, and they have some sort of audio book club for cut rate pricing.
If you have Tuesday Mornings in your area, you can usually find cheap ones there, although the selection is terrible.
Book outlets (Foozles, Publishers Warehouse, etc.) in outlet malls also tend to have decent selection at very good prices.
