Tonight I shall watch Blow Up.
I am craving to watch Fade to Black again. A friend of mine introduced me to this gem just this last year or so.
My netflix list is an ever changing sea of schmuck, schlock, art films, and more, and I can never fix on an order for the queue. My mood varies so much.
I really enjoyed it. This is my kind of fun, for sure. I watched it with a friend and we were rolling. It wasn’t what I expected going in, but it was a delight.

It definitely has that charm to it. I couldn’t decide which death scene was my favourite. Much debate ensued. The one guy getting thwacked against the headstones was pretty intense. But the first kill was by far the most fun for me to watch, I think.
Hatchet was a pretty enjoyable little flick. I do have to say that I really hated the music in it though, especially when they’re on the tour bus going to the swamp. I’m currently going to re-watch The Wicker Man as I haven’t seen it in years( I don’t feel the need to qualify which one it is though, as we all know there is only uno)

Yeah, there can be only one!
One of my faves of all time, at that. I watch that one a few times a year and never get tired of it.
I don’t remember the music in hatchet that much .... guess that says a lot about it, or against it.
true enough about the music Bettie… It is so awful.. I even tried to look at it is ironic/tongue-in-cheek, but found it misplaced and awful. I know I ranting about a rather small detail, but isn’t that what us film geeks-er cinephiles do?
I got the Grindhouse Experience, Vol. 2 set about a week ago and am watching flicks in that. Other than the fact the set is full of a bunch of VHS transfers, it has a lot of good cult flicks, such as:
Ruggero Deodato’s post-apocalyptic trashfest Raiders of Atlantis
Enzo Castellari’s The Shark Hunter
Eurocrime: Blazing Magnum with Tisa Farrow and John Saxon (and some guy named Martin Landau)
Stelvio Massi’s Highway Racer
I’m watching Alain Delon’s crime thriller Three Men to Kill from the collection. All of the flicks I’ve watched so far have been damn entertaining.
I just finished watching Deadwood Park for the second time, and I’m diving into Hatchet right now . . . ! (I need to finish watching it - I’m behind on listening to all my podcasts because everyone’s reviewing it right now, and I don’t want it overly spoiled!)
I had to slow my roll in the horror film watching department and firmly apply myself to the task of job hunting. Having been laid off by my former employee unexpectedly (and they were very upset to have to let me go) I’ve been nose deep in Craigslist and what-have-you, looking for my next gig.
In the meantime, when I’ve had a chance to come up for air, I’ve been enjoying repeat viewings of my Argento collection.
Last night I couldn’t get to sleep so I watched Eight Diagram Pole Fighter with Gordon Liu. Truly not the film to cure insomnia, this one is packed with some amazing fight scenes and, kind of surprising, a fairly engrossing plot. One of the best post-Venoms, Shaw flicks.
