*SCOOP FROM THE NYC THEATER ACTORS COMMUNITY!*

It was announced in last week’s BACKSTAGE, the weekly industry publication, that SILENCE! The Musical is coming back to Off-Broadway!  In fact, they had auditions on July 30th, so should be opening within the next 2 months or so.

I was lucky enough to catch one of the 6 performances of this show back in 2005 at the NY Fringe Festival, and I’m thrilled to see it’s back in town.  It was brutally funny, with an amazing cast and director, and a huge amount of star support (In fact, Jodie Foster was in the front row the night I saw it…no pressure, Clarice…mocking Jodie Foster right in her face!)  But there were some real bugs to be worked out with the music and pacing, so hopefully, the tweaks have been made, and
we’ll have everyone singing “IF I COULD SMELL HER….” real soon!
