Alright, we’ve all seen the teaser, I take it (if you saw Transformers, anyway), so what does everyone make of JJ Abrams’ latest project? At the very least, he’s debunked the “Ethan Haas Was Right” that popped up last week. According to Abrams, there’s only one official site for the film (http://www.1-18-08.com), where there are two seemingly random photos, like before and after pictures, and given the timespan between the photos, things turn from happy to serious pretty quickly. Also, you can click and move the photos as you see fit. I don’t know if there’s any significance to how the photos are oriented, but that’s all we’re getting for now, it seems.

The crazy thing has just been all the rumors regarding what the movie is actually about. Some think it’s an Asian Horror remake, some think it’s about Cthulu, some even think it’s Voltron!! LOL!

I’ve heard it’s a monster movie shot with just hand held video cameras.  I can’t wait.

I really doubt it’s Voltron. There’s no way that would have not leaked out and this thing is practically finished. Nonetheless, I’m excited.

It was an intense preview before Transformers.
But the manager said it may be the Star Trek preview. I’m highly doubting that.
It looks very cool.

Lastest rumor swears it’s associated with Slusho.com. A Japanese beverage company. That is almost entirely in English.

I’m telling you, it’s Rampage.

Word I have from associates on the topic is that it may be, of all things, a Gamera movie.
Gamera, you know Gamera don’t you? Good guy monster, protector of the universe… tastes like turtle. That Gamera. But I hope not. Why? Mostly since it’s an American movie who needs to see another Americanized “realistic” version of a Japanese rubber suited monster character. (Godzilla was enough, thanks.)

Rampage seems likely since there is a glut of game to movie translations going on right now (including word that somebody is working on Halo the Movie and, heaven forbid, Silent Hill 2) so why not Rampage?

Look on the bright side, though, at least nobody’s dropping hint of this being Godzilla 2.
I don’t think anyone could stand a Godzilla 2.

And about the thing above concerning the manager of the theater who thought it was a Star Trek trailer… what does the destruction of New York City have to do with Kirk, Spock & McCoy’s early days in Starfleet Academy?!? Really. I’m already dreading the release of the movie, I don’t need more reason to think the movie will suck anymore than I think it’ll suck already.
