What does everyone think about The Cure going on tour this year?  I’ve never gotten to see them, so this will be my first opportunity.  I know I’ll love it because I love The Cure, but I am also aware that they are about 15+ years past their “prime.” Any thoughts?

You should have spent your money on seeing Weird Al last weekend.  Great show.

I would have paid to see The Cure back in the early 90’s.  These days, I don’t know.  Their last few albums haven’t been that great.  Still watching the audience the would worth the price of admission alone.

I agree with you in that I should have seen them in the late 80s/early 90s...but I would have been age ten or less at that time.  So, it didn’t work out that way.

I still think I’ll have a blast, plus I have no method of comparison.  I’m so gonna make my hair big and stuff for the show--I might even mohawk it.  I haven’t decided yet.  :D

I love the Cure. Great band. Although yeah, their heyday has pretty much passed.

“Pictures Of You” is a wonderful song to listen to after the death of a relationship. I’ll even forgive them for lending it to a Kodak commercial (*shudder*).

Not too familiar with the new material, but I’d think the tour would be worth attending just to hear their old stuff live.
