Now wait a minute—I totally did not get a call about you doing FOC2—and you have my phone number!

So—thanks for making me relive the episode 8—it was great! Now I definitely have to fight Ryan! And was that Chiz who called me a douche nozzle? He’s dead to me too!

(and it’s kinda funny to think you guys are “veteran” podcasters—you’re so old!)—and I won Erica over on FOC1 through lowered expectations! Sweet! It’s how I plan to win on FOC2!

I will explain to you in person why Shivers is shirtless—it was totally my call, so you can blame me. And I CANNOT believe you went back and watched FOC1 again—even I won’t do that…

The film you got was 104 minutes long. Wow—okay, the whole Erica theory is why you needed me on the show. I understand how she could have gotten confused, but I’ll explain it later.

Budget wasn’t much bigger, but much of the budget of the first movie went to buying equipment which I now own. That money now went to actors and FX, hence the upping of quality.

NO FOC3!

I can take no credit for lighting/camera—it’s still the guy from the first movie—Dave Mun—but I could afford to rent real lights for him, which makes ALL the difference in the world to a DP). Unless the scene was really dark and underlit—then that was probably me shooting a pickup two months later. I’m a decent shooter, horrible lighter.

Glad you liked it—the one you have is the theater cut. The real one will be about 99 minutes long, and the ending is slightly different(I think). But I think you should make sure no one gets their hopes up! It’s mediocre, but compared to part 1 it’s okay! :) And hey, go rate it on imdb, will ya? It still doesn’t even have 5 votes…

Thanks for all the kind words!  You almost make my ass stop hurting from anal pillaging I took in Episode 8. Almost. :)

End note: Funny, I read a lotta of Christopher Pike back before he did the “serious” horror stuff he does now—I think he was just starting out back then, ‘cause I was still young…(sigh)

I still stand by Fear of Clowns a pretty good movie, and I plan on seeing the sequel soon enough.

Freddy called! I swear it! He left a message Friday night around 12:30ish.

I’m sorry about the reliving the past awfulness. It hurt to listen to it on our end. What amatuerish douche-nozzles we were! Or should that be are? Can someone just tell me we’ve gotten better so I can feel better about myself? You don’t even have to mean it.

Here is a copy of the post I made to Fear of Clowns 2’s imdb page:

I was one of the many detractors of Fear of Clowns. The original movie was laughably bad, but it was original and fun. My friends and I considered it a modern-day Plan 9 From Outer Space. Unlike Ed Wood, however, Kevin Kangas is not certifiably insane. He is a filmmaker who has dived into show business and has been swimming for his life since 2002’s Hunting Humans. With Fear of Clowns 2, Kangas and friends have hit their stride. Despite some unfortunate severed head prosthetics, FOC 2 is an improvement in every way to the original. The pacing and storytelling are tighter and more clear and concise. The scenes are actually lit! David Mun, who shot both films, takes more chances with interesting camera movements that actually help the story rather than distract from it (FOC 1 was much clumsier). The improvement of the performances by both Mark Lassise (“Shivers the Clown”) and Frank Lama (“Detective Peters”) is astounding. Mr. Lassise is given much more believable dialogue (the little of it he delivers) and is placed in more interesting situations with both his adversaries and cohort clowns. Jacky Reres was the highlight of the first film, and she delivers a consistently solid performance here as well. Performances by Phillip Levine and Clarence McNatt as “Shivers” serial killer buddies are fantastic! In fact, I would have liked to have seen more of Mr. Levine’s manic performance as “Fred”. A hilarious performance by first-timer David Wooters as “Old Man Horner” offers one of the best moments in the film. I recommend that anyone who is interested in the evolution of filmmakers and actors study the evolving career of Kevin Kangas.

Ok here’s me sorry all of this tech stuff has got me reeling!!! I’ve signed on as me officially.  How do you know what color Mama I am? I feel like I should be scared but I’m actually intrigued.
Also I would like to say, I grew up w/ Hindu and Seik(spelling?) Friends and dates and I still can’t figure out what the last guy told me to do to my Zune. I asked multiple times, even closed my eyes and really concentrated. I just don’t know what I’m supposed to do. So now I’m ON HOLD FOR another 20 minutes w/ bad Microsoft music. What kind of Cust. Service is this?!!!!!

Thanks Tony(for liking FOC1) and Freddy(for the imdb post that will further incite the crazies to post about me—unless they’re ALL Ryan still posting…:)

Erica—Shivers has no relation to the child molester. The child molester’s son(the man who pays for the painting) is really just a MacGuffin—I almost called him Mr. MacGuffin, but thought it was too on the nose. It was just something I wanted to use to pull the audience’s attention off of what was really going on—in retrospect, it really didn’t work, but hey—what did? For me, the last 30 minutes of FOC1 is the only thing that approached what I intended.

Like I told Freddy—I’m subjecting the world to my film school—live and learn. :)

Sikhs!

I still struggle with my Indian relatives from time to time. Of course, they struggle with me. And just yesterday the New Englanders got confused because they could not tell the difference between “I was” and “Iowa was”.  Then someone asked me for a “fox” and after having them repeat about… oh a dozen times I realized she was asking for a fork.

Fun times!

Are you sure they said Fork? Is Deeps Sikh? I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what that guy told me to do, he must have just come out of the training. I think I confused him w/ the way I pronounce O’s it comes off really Fargo…..

Fine I’m a racist cause I want to update my podcasts and download Cinema Diabolica and Big Red. Fine! I don’t even mind customer service from India(don’t tell the other Democrats) but I just want to understand how to fix my Zune that’s all.
