Ok, So his first couple of films were good, I actually liked Signs. But then he got rubbish.  This on the other hand at least looks intriguing:

Oh god - I needed to laugh.

That was good. One man’s intrigue is another woman’s hilarity, I suppose.

By the way - if you’d like to know more about the script, I read this very spoilery script review over at Mystery Man on Film.

I think Shyamalan’s great(wasn’t a fan of his Lady In Water, but I’m not 10 anymore either), so I’m looking forward to it.

His plots have a lot of holes in them(typically), but his directing is so good at getting me INVOLVED in the movie that I don’t think about them until the movie’s over.

I think Shyamalan has one of the best eyes to come out of Hollywood in a long, LONG time.  He just needs to stop writing and focus what he is good at.

Mr. Kangas, I will respectfully disagree. He gets in his own way! He’s clumsy! And I think his directing has become tedious.  Where you think he engages, I would offer that he annoys to the point of badgering.  His contempt for his audience and his critics is immense.

I cannot watch his films anymore - even stuff I was mildly ambivalent about in the past. He does serve as a powerful totem in Hollywood. It’s kind of like a freak show - come see the man who sabotages himself at ever turn!

But I have a colder, blacker heart than most.

I thought at first The Happening was just his take on What’s Happening, but sadly there is no Rerun.

I was intreged by the trailer, it looks pretty cool.

However while I enjoy an M.Night movie, I think people have given him way too much credit which makes him think he is better than he is (like Eli Roth), but thats my opinion!!

Well, the first review is not exactly glowing: :  http://www.collider.com/entertainment/reviews/article.asp/aid/7903/tcid/1

My fave quote is probably :The Happening is a terrible, terrible movie. I mean, it’s bad on an epic scale. It’s so bad that I can’t possibly tell you how bad it is without understating the point or making it sound like I’m picking on the film.

And this is from somebody who says they like M. Night.
