http://imdb.com/title/tt0856288/

“Still grieving over her recently deceased boyfriend, a pregnant woman becomes haunted by a mysterious woman.”

That synopsis does this film NO justice.. NONE.

The sound design and acting and photography is.. I CAN’T say enough good things about this film. It’s being released in the states on DVD by Dimension Extreme on March 4th.
PICK IT UP.

another one I’ve GOT to see. It really does seem like the the French are taking over Horror. Haute Tension, Frontiere(s)(which I’ve heard REALLY good things about) and now this! Vive le France!

Here’s some good info on it:

http://fantasticfest.bside.com/2007/?_view=_filmdetails&filmId=31634801

The Fantastic Fest is gonna be the best horror/sci-fi festival in the country someday.  Getting to see “Crazy Thunder Road” on the big screen with subtitles was a smurfin trip.  If anyone is planning a trip to Austin, I recommend coming during that time.

Felipe is not kidding about A` L’Interieur. This film is a TOTAL smurfin.

Alot of people might side this film alongside fellow French films like Irreversible, and Man Bites Dog, and in terms of bleakness, they’re right. This is the kind of shit that makes cribdeath look pleasing.

Regardless, A` L’Interieur starts off with a ‘bang’, and slowly begins to worm its way into your guts, like a rusty coathanger. This film will pound you into a sobbing pool of cringing flesh, and will remain burned into your brainstem for some time to come.

TOTAL respect goes out to directors Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury for having the stones
to go as far as they could with the film, regardless of ratings or criticism.

Here’s a little something I think all horror fans should do when this is released on DVD.
Invite some of your friends over who are accustomed to watching those trite Hollywood ‘Horror’ films. After their constant consumption of the flow of fecal films spewing out the anus
of Hollywood, a film like A` L’Interieur will drop them on an express elevator to the pits of hell.

I watched a screener a few night back with some friends, and while all cringed and buried
themselves in the couch, half won’t talk to me now, and the other half blame me for ‘Freaking them out’. Well what the smurfin is a Horror film supposed to do, make you feel fresh and clean like Summer’s Eve?

Sorry for the ramble here folks, but like Filipe says, this is the REAL deal.

Oh, and BTW, Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury were apparently picked personally by Clive Barker to writ the script to the Hellraiser remake. Apparently they did too good of a job, and the studio was ‘Horrified’ with what they had in mind, so now the script is being RE-WRITTEN! by another pair. Can someone explain the logic behind this? You hire two guys to write a horror script, and then you ditch them because it’s too ‘Horrifying’? How can you read a script with your head buried in your ass anyway?

Well, how did you think they made BABY OIL?????

I suppose they could have their script turned into a comic book. Harlan Ellison did that with the screenplay he was hired to write for I, Robot. His writing is too good for Will Smith and Big Hollywood and thus they rejected it in favor of the crappy thing sold to the public. Poor Asimov’s soul.
