What are you looking at?

Personally, I’m watching the Director’s Cut of Zodiac with Fincher’s commentay on.  Both the man and his film are genius.

I’ve also got Walker, an awesome little Alex Cox movie (he of Repo Man and Sid & Nancy fame) but I accidently left that at Wynne’s house a few nights ago.

And the rest of the queue: The Long Good Friday, Barron von Munchausen, Ms. 45 (one of my favorite exploitation films of the 80s) and Ils (or, as translated to English, Them).

Re-Animator, The Brood, The Sixth Sense, The Usual Suspects, and The Silence of the Lambs are all on their way to my house, thanks to glorious, sexy Netflix. I’ve never seen any of them, so I think I’m gonna be pretty busy this week.

That said, I’ll probably bump some more light-hearted movies to the top of my Queue pretty soon…

Whoa!  Better late than never, I guess.  You’re in for some serious shit with Re-Animator.

The Brood is sorta kinda my least favorite Cronenberg film, but it’s still well worth seeing.

And unfortunately the Sixth Sense has been discussed to death, so I’m sure you know the end, but I still like it a lot.

Good picks, man.  Have fun.

Eh, I really like M. Night Shyamalan, and I think it’s safe to say that The Sixth Sense is his best movie, twist or no twist. Besides, I love a good ghost story.

As for The Brood, Stephen King spoke very highly of it in his book, Danse Macabre (although that was written in 1980…).

Yeah, you need to be 7, at a drive-in with a spooky uncle to really get into The Brood. It isn’t Cronenberg’s best, but it still gives me shivers even thinking about it.

I’d like for you to pay special attention in The Brood to the moment where they are investigating the house, but completely miss the giant blood smear on the stairs. That smurfin scene will bug me for life. HOW DO YOU MISS THAT?! Anywho, I’m not a huge fan.

Yeah I bought that one as a blind buy, then watched it. Then I sold it.

So I went with NetFlix. I hope that was a smart choice. I just couldn’t wait any longer, cravings call.

At this point it’s up to you gents. It sounds like Beef can do it tomorrow, Alan can do it never and I’m down for whenever—the sooner the better. Just let me know what’s up so I’m not wearing only a towel when you guys show up.

Katie, Brian and I just watched the first two films in our Spring Break Sea Beastie Attack marathon: Creatures From The Abyss and Deep Rising.

Tonight’ll be Alligator, Orca and/or Leviathan with some more fun in store for Friday.
