Prince of Darkness was a pleasant surprise. I’ll probably watch it again soon.
It was nice to see Alice Cooper as a schizo hobo impale the nerd guy with half of a bicycle.

In fact, the last time I saw Cooper in a film was Wayne’s World.

P.S. I agree with you about NBK, Tonyhex. It didn’t age well in my opinion.

Prince of Darkness is one of my favorites (I did a lame impression of it for the intro of last year’s Spooktacular even). There’s something very scrappy about it, which is sort of good AND bad (the lead…maybe the less said about him, the better) but it’s a credit to Carpenter that this movies gives me the creeps EVERY time I watch it.

I think Prince of Darkness and In the Mouth of Madness are Carpenter’s creepiest movies. Speaking of which, I have a suggestion for the next Spooktacular, Miles; The People Under the Stairs.

I saw Inglourious Basterds Friday (along with every other person on the planet). I can’t remember the last time I’ve wanted to re-watch a movie so badly. I loved it.

Ha! That’d be the 3rd Craven film on the list this year if we include it. I don’t know dude…

And yes, Inglorious Basterds is onederful.

It’s cool, just a suggestion.

I re-watched Last Man On Earth. I smurfin love this movie. I really like Omega Man and I Am Legend is okay, but this is the best. You can’t go wrong with Vincent Price.

Messiah of Evil—made by the couple who made Howard The Duck (I think), a zombie type movie. I enjoyed every bit of this up until the last 30 seconds. I’m not sure what happened. Maybe I have the wrong cut. It’s worth seeing, though. Very cool.

Creeper aka Rituals—It’s like a slasher, but with a bunch of old men camping in the wilderness. Hal Holbrook kicks some ass. Kinda like Deliverance, but different. Actually, really good.

I’ve watched Jaws, Jaws 2, and Jaws 3-D in the last twelve hours.
Now I’m on Jaws 4: The Revenge…

Jamaican Mario Van Peebles is killing my face.

At least it’s not Jamaican Melvin Van Peebles…

Watched Army of Shadows last night and pretty much loved it. I’ve always been catching up on Mad Men and True Blood, which has eaten a large chunk out of the time I usually reserve for movies (can’t say I’m upset about it though).

True Blood you say? Interesting…

I was thinking about doing a bonus BRP where we record a commentary track for the season finale. Assuming Derek is around. He has a habit of disappearing and not telling anyone.

Have you guys seen Antichrist yet? It’s sitting on my hard drive at the moment, unwatched. I really do want to see it but never manage to find the time for it (due in large part to how disturbing it purportedly is).

Been trying to watch Pocket Ninjas, but things keep getting in the way. Yesterday I had to jet from work to Beef’s house to watch Basket Case, so I only caught 10 minutes of the movie. And then, this morning when I randomly woke up at 6am and couldn’t fall back asleep, I gave it another try…only to fall asleep another 10 minutes in. I hope to finish the film by the end of the year.

Also, it IS as bad as it looks.
