Mannequin, nice! Hollywood was the most amazing character I came across during my youth.

Miles, why is your avatar the Spider Man/ Power Pack molestation awareness comic book? Creepy.

I just saw The Brood. It gets a nice 9/10, I think. Great movie.

Road Games and Flash Gordon.  Here’s the thing…both films are connected in a way that I didn’t expect when I first rented them.  I’m not gonna say what the connection is, because I feel special for having stumbled upon it.

1. There Will Be Blood $8.54 million
2. Alvin and the Chipmunks $7.22 million
3. Lions for Lambs $6.83 million
4. Water Horse: Legend of the Deep $6.69 million
5. Sweeney Todd $6.52 million
6. I Am Legend $5.82 million
7. Walk Hard $5.7 million
8. The Mist $5.38 million
9. Enchanted $4.73 million
10. No Country For Old Men $4.53 million

No Country is still kicking ass with a cumulative DVD gross of $37.03 million, which still beats Alvin (which has a cumulative $15.96 million DVD gross).  And my favorite film from last year took the top spot!  Hooray!

Also, looks like Walk Hard is a legitimate flop, opening in 7th on the rental circuit.  It’ll make its money back eventually, but it’s gonna take some time.

Being There with Peter Sellers.

That’s funny, on account of I’m on a Hal Ashby kick at the moment.  The Last Detail and Shampoo are on the way soon.

I’ve got a real soft spot for this movie though (or maybe it’s just Seller’s performance).

Also, watching the Dolemite sequel, The Human Tornado right now.

Saw the Ruins last night.  That film kind of shattered my expectations.  Erin was pissed because she was convinced that she wouldn’t be able to sleep after watching it.  Personally, I didn’t think it was that scary, but I had a lot of fun with it.  It’s not very often that I can say that about a killer plant movie, so nice work, friend-o’s.

I also rented Ben-Hur and The Backwoods (with Gary Oldman) and I think Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Husbands and Wives, Buffy (last disc of season 4), and Dinner For Five are all on the way from Netflix.
