Saw SATC last night. I’m pretty sure everyone in the theater got their period at the same time (including these to thugs with bandanas on their heads. I’m still not sure why they were there.).

They just wanted to get their Sex and the City on, is all.

Here’s some ironic timing: I watched the movie Zoo in the same week that I visited a home in Burbank that had two horses penned up in the backyard.

I’ve never felt more awkward while admiring nature’s beauty.

I’m also making my way through Buffy season 6 and Top Secret.  Hopefully the latter is as good as I remember it.

Last night I watched Stephen King’s Cat’s Eye. I liked it, in the ‘moderately entertaining TV movie’ kind of way. General was the best actor in the entire film.

I also just finished watching Kung Fu Hustle, which I really, really loved.

Last night I saw a late showing of Kung Fu Panda. If you’re like I was then you have some major doubts. But, lemme tell yah, s’good. I loved it. It reminded me of Samurai Jack, too. So much so that I was shocked to find that SJ’s animator, Genndy Tartakovsky wasn’t attached.
Anywho, I would recommend it for realsies.

I watched the extended version of Aliens earlier today. Great movie. The last half hour rocked my f**king balls off.

I just watched Hard Candy. It was well directed and all, but it seemed sort of pointless to me.

Sorry to triple post, but I’m back from Kung Fu Panda. It was actually a lot of fun.

I’m watching Taxidermia right now and the only thought going though my mind is, How do you come up with something like this?  It’s freakin’ bizarre in a way I never would have thought of.

Oooooh, I heard about that a while back (on Mondo Movie, perhaps?).  Weird aside, is it good?

I finally got around to watching Night of the Creeps. I guess I liked it, but I feel like my expectations were way too high.

It’s ok.  I would recommend Ex Drummer or Princess over it.  There isn’t much of a story.  It’s three segments that are loosely tied together with no real narrative.  There are some great visually interesting moments but it’s not the shocker that I was lead to believe.

Recently revisited Starship Troopers.  I love the Verhoeven, and I love this movie.  Also, re-watched Network, Big Trouble in Little China, Document of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead and El Topo.

New stuff: Wilder’s The Long Weekend and Kazan’s East of Eden (which I haven’t finished yet).

Today I watched Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle (which was f**king awesome) and Tales from the Darkside: The Movie (which was definitely less awesome).

Tales from the Darkside brings back all sorts of fuzzy memories of misspent afternoons indoors, watching bad horror movies on channel 13.

Also, Meet the Spartans, Argento’s Inferno and Buffy (S6, D3) just came in through Netflix, so hooray.
