depends on whether i have something else I want to read.  I read three other books while trying to get through American Psycho.  I got about halfway through Virtual Light before I dumped it for Ghoul and never did go back to it.  I didn’t even make 2 chapters into Terminal, though.  haha.

Yeah, that’s the problem… I basically have an entire bookshelf of books to read.

reading World War Z now and after that I dunno….any recommendations from the fellow horror fans?  A pretty good collections of short stories is called Still Dead.  Nothing like a collection of zombie short stories.

two i have read recently that were great reads are dark hollow by brian keene and cuts by richard laymon, they are both quick reads.  the action clicks by so fast you are surprised you already finished it, and you want more.

I promised my brother I’d read Ender’s Game if he’d read The Dead Zone (so far, I’m the only one to hold up his end of the bargain).

Anyway, I’m sort of unimpressed so far. Card is a pretty clumsy writer, and I’m having a hard time relating to the characters.

I’m about halfway through Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill and I just started Lucifer’s Hammer by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.  I attempted to read the Niven one in High School but i lacked the attention span to complete it.

It’s summer which means I got to have my annual end-of-the-world opus to read.  It’s mine own private little tradition.

Awesome tradition! I’m a sucker for end of the world stuff too.

I just waded through a couple books not good enough to finish - Snow Crash and Wicked. I was feeling pretty depressed until I picked up #2 & #3 in the Cirque Du Freak series and then came Heart Shaped Box. So good. Now I’m reading a fun zombie story set in London - The Words of Their Roaring. Thanks Ken!

I recently picked up a copy of Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons (I think that’s right). It was $2 at the used book place and looked interesting. Anyone read this? What did you think?

I’ve heard devastating things about Carrion Comfort. I’d go out and buy it if it weren’t so damn hard to find…

Just finished the Jack Ketchum Old Flames. Two novellas in one book. Alot weaker thean some of his other stuff, but still had me reading them in one sitting. A good way to pass an hour or two. I’m thinking of re-reading It. It gets me into summer mode better than anything.

I’m reading Autumn by David Moody. I listened to a podcast that was the entire first book and then I ended up buying the entire series. It’s a good zombie apocalypse story.

Re-reading The World According to Garp, best book ever. Just finished The Dark Tower graphic novel (also awesome). Is The Ruins worth buying?

Dunno, the movie seriously turned me off to reading it.

I’m juggling stuff right now.  I’ve yet to finish Cormac McCarthy’s The Road, although I will now that school is over with (forever!).  I’m also in the midst of Michael Chabon’s The Yiddish Policeman’s Union, Palahniuk’s Rant (and Snuff, as soon as I pick it up), the new issue of McSweeney’s, House of Leaves, English As She Is Spoke and Jose Saramago’s Blindness.  I read more when school is out of session than I do when it’s in.

Just finished Dark Hollow.  bleh.  My ferver for Brian Keene is waining.  About to start an old Shadowrun novel called Never Deal With A Dragon, because supposedly, the Super NES Shadowrun game was based heavily on that and the SNES game was awesome.  Should be a quick, fun read, which will be a nice pallet cleanser after Dark Hollow.  So disappointing.

Holy s**t.

I’m not so good at juggling…

I got tired of Keene after The Conqueror Worms.

Also, Ender’s Game has gotten much better. I should finish it either tonight or tomorrow.
