Started Creepers by David Morell and because of the movie and what people have said about it here, I’ve also got Watchmen on the go.

Okay, now I’m sold.  I need to check out Stupidest Angel.  I read a vampire book a few years ago and liked the humor, but wasn’t completely sold on the book.  Next time I go to the library, I’m checking this out.

Right now, I’m on King’s The Cell.  After that….Heart Shaped Box.

I’d be very interested in hearing what you think about his books! I think the next book for me is either

Heart Shaped Box or World War Z.

I justed finished a very quick read called

What Was Lost by Catherine O’Flynn. The heartbreak of the story kind of sneaks up on you and maybe you get a little misty while riding the subway.

Oh and if anyone is looking to read another genre, I think that the Natsuo Kirino’s novel

Out is really exceptional. I guess I could argue that it’s existential horror about oppression and growing old and become obsolete. I read it a few years ago and it really has stuck with me.

I got hooked on the Dresden Files a few weeks ago.  It’s light but fun reading.  I’ve torn through all the books and now have to wait until April for the next one :(

I’ve just read The Eyes of the Carp by T.M. Wright.  It was odd and rather wonderful.

I started reading The Green Mile yesterday. I’m liking it so far, although I really need to branch out, book-wise.

Growing old and becoming obsolete are so much on my mind as I watch the Olympics and see the tweens winning gold medals and realizing that so many athletes are retiring in their 20s. Yikes. I might have to read this book and feel sad.

Also, I’m reading Watchmen b/c Freddy is making me. I just finished The Poet by Michael Connelly. It was fun, light and predictable.

Good on you, Freddy!

Today I bought McSweeney’s Mammoth Treasury of Thrilling Tales, Soon I Will Be Invincible, and The Academy.

Just finished Heart Shaped Box. Liked the story a lot but hated the main character. He was a tool.

I really enjoyed all of the characters in Heart-Shaped Box.

Heart-Shaped Box was an excellent book and the character were very fleshed out.  The main character was a dick though.  Right now I’m reading the exploits of one Mr. Patrick Bateman, American Psycho is bringing me tons of joy right now.

It’s been a while since I last read American Psycho.  What a great, great book.

I just finished reading The Green Mile. I’ll admit it, I came incredibly close to tears.

I’ve read the volumes and 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead. I really enjoyed them. I got
volume three when it came out but the wait for it caused me to forget what
had happened in volumes 1 and 2. I didn’t feel like going back and reading
them so I haven’t read three.

I would strongly urge you to continue reading The Walking Dead if you enjoyed the first 2 volumes.  I’ve kept up with the story since the beginning and just finished Volume 8.  I think it’s one of the best horror reads on the market right now.

I’m, like, a hundred pages away from finishing Brian Keene’s Ghost Walk. I was hesitant about reading another of his novels after The Conqueror Worms, which was kind of retarded, but I’m glad I did. It’s an enormous improvement over Conqueror Worms in just about every imaginable way. I love that he’s creating a contained universe akin to that of Stephen King. I’m pretty sure Keene references each of his past few horror novels at least once in Ghost Walk. I can’t wait to read Dark Hollow.
