Collateral is about the only movie of his I like.  Heat is very overrated.  Can’t stand Manhunter.  It looked and felt like a bad Miami Vice episode.  As much as I don’t like Brett Ratner, I prefer Red Dragon.

Collateral is pretty good, I personally liked his adaptation of The Last Of The Mohicans, thought that was pretty good film, amazing film score in that film. He is a little overrated however.....

We agree and disagree very fast in the same post.

I love Beat Takeshi’s films! I think they are always at least interesting. And best-they are some of the best Asian gangster films ever made!

The Exorcist is my favorite horror film EVER. I do not think there is another that comes close.

(To Live & Die In LA, French Connection, Sorcerrer, Rampage are also not too bad!). And he made an episode of the New Twilight Zone that was GREAT (I not remember the name but it was about a man who come back from Vietnam and when he falls asleep the ghosts of the soliders he killed come back and they shoot up a restaurant).

Takeshi Kitano(although I really like him as an actor. He’s like Japan’s poor man’s version of Clint Eastwood) I do strongly disagree with all of the junk being talked about Friedkin. The Exorcist(in my humble opinion) is one of the best horror films of all time. As well, The French connection is a bonafide classic.quote]

Nice try. But you did not fool me. It looks like Brett Ratner’s mother is a member of this forum!

Who else would prefer Red Dragon to Manhunter? That-or someone needs to visit his eye doctor very soon.

Braveheart is pretty good I think, just my personal taste, but I will agree that Gladiator and Heat are overrated.

What about The Insider?  Maybe it’s just my love for whistle blowin’ but I love that film.
