In honor of the ShowShow Uwe Boll interview, what do you think is the worst film director (and I use that word loosely) has directed to date?

It depends on what you mean, I guess.  If by worst you mean least entertaining in its awfulness, then…well shit, even then it’s hard to gauge.  Honestly, as you’ll see in the interview, I kind of like the guy (particularly since he’s finally come to accept that House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark are pretty horrible little films).

That Nazi-bastard won me over.  I have to abstain.

I did an interview with him after Bloodrayne came out and he wasn’t that easy to talk to.

I’ve actually never seen one… I’m not sure whether I should be embarassed or cocky.

Okay, I voted for “House of the Dead,” because it’s the only one of his films that I own (that’s right, OWN!) and it makes me laugh more than anything else he’s directed.  Plus, when I talked to him about the film, even he seemed to realize how silly a lot of it is.

Although I must say that “In The Name of the King” is perhaps the hardest to sit through, given its length alone.

In regard to him being difficult to talk to, I have to say that I felt like I was talking to a very different Uwe Boll than the one I’ve seen in interviews and videos before now.  The news that Postal had been reduced from 1,500 theaters to 4 seemed to have humbled the guy greatly and I’ll be damned if I didn’t hear him choke up a bit when I mentioned that his DVD sales seem to be the only thing keeping him afloat.  That really caught me off guard.

Anyway, as soon as we all sit down to record the show proper, you can judge for yourselves.

Ah, just reading that made me feel sort of down.

In the Name of the King is easily the most coherent of his films despite the ninjas.  I almost enjoyed it.

Bloodrayne is fun just the odd Billy Zane moments, but Bloodrayne 2 is a total beating to watch.
