I know Julius Curry was on that TV show that Bruce Campbell did called Briscoe County Jr., cant say on Disco Godfather, as I havent seen that since the VCR days....I will agree with Sam Jackson, he can be very bad ass....I think Van Cleef as well although there are some films out there where he let his hair grow out and he looks a little strange.
I like Mickey Rourke quite a bit, his film resume is a little shoddy, but I think the dude is pretty damn bad ass when he wants to be, really liked him in Sin City.
I think by now we have the entire cast of The Dirty Dozen on here.....Robert Shaw is a good one, Clint Eastwood is an obvious one but you can never deny the Man With No Name Trilogy, pure cinematic genius. Although in reality I think he had a name in the third film, at least Eli Wallach was calling him something and his character was a bit of a prankster in that third film.
Here’s what I will say about this that brought up me posting this on the forums. I recently watched Once Upon A Time In The West again, and that opening 10 or 15 minutes of that film are cinematic gold as well as a testament to film bad assery. I think it is one of the great openings to a film EVER. Henry Fonda in that film is one bad ass dude, his character oozes evil. He isnt in the opening so much but throughout, every time that character is on screen, he is like a magnet, your almost drawn into this evil character, very well done by Sergio Leone.
I love movies with old guys kickin ass, like Dirty Harry, Death Wish and The Limey. They would eat these new hollywood pretender pussies for breakfast!
ok so i am going out on a limb here but GymKata..............................greatest film ever!
you really can taste the awesomeness of this movie through the internets.. If the C.D lads want to treat this cinematic tour-de-force like a red headed step child, perhaps the boys from Bean town can give it the proper treatment..
I think Nicolas Cage fails at being a tough guy when he plays them. Mark Wahlberg doesnt work for me when he tries to be tough.....here is an obscure one for you guys, see if any of you remember Mitch Gaylord from “American Anthem”.....a film from the eighties about a rebellious....wait for it......gymnast. He tried to be tough, was all fluff.
