I figured I’d post the guest list for the festival on here; hopefully if any of you live close enough or are compelled to come you’ll have a good time.. I’ve been the past few years and they’ve had the likes of Dario Argento, George Romero, Clive Barker, Doug Bradley, Alic Cooper, Roddy Piper, Kane Hodder, Gunnar Hansen, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Adrienne Barbeau, Adam West, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, Carrie Fisher, Angela Bettis, H.G Lewis, Greg Nicotero, Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni, Goblin, MIchael Barryman, Peter Mayhew, Malcolm McDowell and a slew of others. Essentially, it’s a horror/sci-fi/comic/Anime/RPG geek fest. They have screenings and a ton of other good stuff going on. The early guest list is as follows:

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for John Carpenter or Pam Grier, but we shall see..

and to add to the horror train, Rue Morgue just announced Linnea Quigley and for F13, Tobe Hooper. Mr.13, you may not get a chance to piss on his grave, but this would be a perfect opportunity to piss in his face if the mood struck you.. All golden showers aside, I’m actually stoked about these two additions, and about getting a sig. and picture with each of them. All Hooper’s failings aside, I am jazzed to meet him as he did make one of the greatest horror movies of all time(and I don’t mean Funhouse kids)..

Golden Showers for Mr. Hooper......would be cool to meet him however....I would get his one good movie signed anyway....

I would ask him to sign my copy of Poltergeist Steven Spielberg.

I’ll be attending this year.  I can’t wait!

I’ll have to wait for a northwest event, preferably in WA State!

I appreciate it man.  I’ll be in T-Dot from Thursday to Sunday.  I don’t know if you are on the Rue Morgue boards or not, but we’ll have to have a drink and talk some movies when I’m in town man.

Andy: I’m not on the boards, but we’ll most def hook up for some frosty pints.. oh and btw everyone:

almost? my head DID explode. I really can’t wait to meet the Saxon. I’ve been debating as to what I want him to sign.. Andy: are you staying downtown? do you plan on checking any of the night screenings while here?

Yep, I’ll be staying downtown.  I can’t wait to eat me some of that Mama’s Pizza.  I’m staying at the Royal York this year.  I plan on going to all of the “off-site” events.  It will definatley be a busy weekend, but I’m ready to party!

Royal York? I didn’t know you were Daddy Warbucks man ;) The Royal is a really nice hotel man, you should dig it.. Are you gonna do a show here or is it strictly a fan experience this time around?

Haha.  I wish. 

I stayed at the Novotel back in 06 and Marriot by Eaton Centre in 05.  I go where it’s cheaper with the flight + hotel package.  Royal York was cheaper than Novotel.

I want to do a live show, but I don’t have a laptop.  However, I’m working on an audio experience for the trip.  If I can figure it out, I will have a mic or 2.

I’m trying to get the time off work to go to this.  Sadly, I’m no longer holding out hope that it’ll happen. 

...oh well, guess I’ve got the Toronto After Dark film fest to try for still.

9 more days!  I can’t wait to see Midnight Meat Train next Thursday.  Also, I got my ZOOM H2 portable recorder so I cannot wait to record the trip, interview people and do joint reviews.

BigWilly, don’t forget to hit me up.  I think I might be at the Loose Moose some night and I think a bunch of us from the Rue Morgue boards are hitting up Pauper’s before and after Midnight Meat Train.
