Ok , I loved this season finale.  It was freakin’ awesome!  The moved the plot forward big time this season.  Kate seeing Claire.  Hurley and Sayeed on the lamb together.  Moving the island and destroying the boat.  Damn I have to till next year to see what happens next.  Lost could be the best series ever.

I completely agree, Stefan. What a tremendous finale. As good as I thought last year’s finale was, I really thought this year’s finish was better. I watched all three hours together last night and while it could have felt slow and bloated it just zoomed along. I was completely captivated!

Totally fantastic - I’ll be very interested to listen to the watercooler buzz at the office today to see what other people think. I’m still mulling over all the possibilities.

Took me a good long while to process the finale…but here are some thoughts:

- Harold Perrineau is totally correct. He came back for that? I was really disappointed with the Michael story line and it’s conclusion.
- Ain’t no way in hell Jin is dead. I forgave the bastards for Mr. Eko, but if Jin is for reals dead I’m done.
- Locke looked funny in the coffin. Just…funny. And how hilarious was the Orchid scene with the mysteriously rewinding tape and the time-traveling bunnies?
- Walt is HUGE.
- Juliet is so underused. What is her point anymore?
- What the eff happened to Claire?

I’m not sure I can wait until 2009 for more. Someone…hold my hand.

I’m 1000% convinced Jin is not dead. I don’t care about the DUI curse.

I didn’t mind what happened with Michael - he had more of an arc this season than he had in the past and I got tired of him in season 2 when he was just nuts and screamed all the time.

I think Juliet is underused and written to be stupid when she used to be awesome. I’d like to see Juliet and Charlotte get smarter together and then kick some ass.

I have no idea what happened to Claire - but it is my dream for her to just go away. She’s terrible and a bad parent. I don’t have kids but seriously, I keep track of my car keys better than she watches Aaron.

I’m pretty sure Claire died. She probably had some internal injuries from the explosion.

Let’s say for sake of argument that Jin did survive the explosion, he would have drown at sea afterwards.  He wasn’t close enough to the island to be sucked away ala Miles.  I don’t see anyway he could still be around.  He might show up on the island as a ghost.

So here’s my theory - Claire is maybe a zombie or a ghost. I know for sure she’s a bad actress.

Anyone in the water, including Faraday and the little Zodiac and any survivors from the boat explosion, also got sucked into the giant time/space vortex because they were close to the island.  Since the chopper was in the air it was not affected.

And there will be a very funny scene next season when the island blips into a new location and a bunch of tiny sea creatures rain down to cause massive confusion. And then a whale nearly falls on Bernard, who deftly avoids it, and thus provides some food for the Beach people for a little while.

I’m telling you, Season 5 is all about food shortages and revenge. And ghosts.
