Hey everyone:

Anyone out there always wanted to see a specific film more then anything but for whatever reason you haven’t - be it because of it is out of print, too hard to find, unreleased, too afraid to check it out or maybe even you were iffy about it or just haven’t gotten around to it?

My pick would be the Spanish version of the 1931 Tod Browning’s DRACULA - the one that was shot overnights when the american crew was done for the day using the same script and directed by George Melford.  Never gotten around to seeing this, but I really need to.

I would love to see London After Midnight I think its called, the Tod Browning film with Lon Chaney that is classified as a “lost” film, an old silent picture, I hold out hope, something I havent seen that I am getting from Netflix this week is Van Bebber’s Deadbeat At Dawn…...never saw it….just never got around to it. This is a great post btw….

I have Dracula on DVD with both English and Spanish versions. I believe Universal re-issued it a couple of years ago so you might be able to track it down that way. It’s called “Dracula the Legacy Collection” if you go hunting for it….

I am a big supporter of people watching Browning films. Not enough people watch his stuff and it is really quite excellent.

I love Browning films too and thanks for the advice - I’ll have to eventually get around to picking that bad boy up.

AMEN!!!! Fun fact about Tod Browning is that here in Kentucky we cant take credit for many of the great film makers but Browning is a Kentucky boy and one of my personal favs from the classic era of Hollywood.
