We’re back after our two-week (or one show) break. Deeps, Derek and I are fired up to talk about Fear Itself, Swingtown, Charlie Jade and In Plain Sight. Then I get reminiscent about Chicago when talking about My Boys. And finally we tackle favorites Doctor Who and the sublime Venture Brothers.  Plus we announce the next installment in the Big Red Film Festival - Night Moves!

Loved this weeks show! I’m so glad you guys are back!

I think I feel the opposite of you on the Doc Who episodes.  I liked Doc’s Daughter much better than the Agatha’s Giant Wasp Episode, and I thought both were good not great.  I really do like the addition of Donna to the cast and I’m hoping that they resist the urge to try to involve those two romantically.

It seems to me that a show that should very much be about change, gets very predictable sometimes.  I knew they were going to kill off (kind of)  Genny as soon as she showed up just to maintain the status quo.

Kudos for the return of the Summer Film Festival. I haven’t seen Night Moves, but I’m going to rent it ASAP.  It looks like it is worth seeing just for Gene Hackman’s giant mustache!

If you get the chance, you should check out the movie “Fido.”  Its a very tongue in cheek zombie parody movie set in the fifties.  I know its free on demand with Comcast right now, and its a riot.

I reviewed Fido a while back - but I’m having the damndest time figure out which episode I did it in. I am pretty sure it was 2008, but must’ve been early in the year…. I’m still looking for it.
